I never said Naughty Dog invented all these things…and i never said that gears 5 has more story then previous gears entrys, please dont misconstrue what I say.
And you can tell me that gears has better gameplay then UC4 and I could counter by saying your wrong because UC4 has better gameplay then gears 5…but, what would be the point in that , most people understand that people have opinions… It also seems you are making this a gears vs uncharted thing, jeez grow up, both games are great, but people have prefrences, for example I bet you have gears games you prefer over other gears games, but that does not mean the gears you prefer less, are bad. Does it?
Gears doesn’t need to copy dumbed down action? Oh jeez, stop just stop saying baseless statements, only idiots do this, you know… maybe give some reasoning that explain your opinions rather then talk like a child.
And weather the coalition took ideas and inspiration from naughty dog or not we dont know, but this scene here
Naughty dog this gen have done segments like this, but they have done them better, the voice acting, animation in ND games are better in these segments which makes them more believable, the styleized nature of gears 5 make those segments seem a bit forced, this segment is more reminiscent of games from like 2000-2010.
A good way to look it is gears 4 was like an action packed sci fi movie with some funny feel good dialogue, in gears 5 the coalition try and more depth narritivly, its no easy task, because if its not tonealy appropriate it can feel forced.
Its why the MCU movies felt better then most of the DC ones.
One if the reasons DOOM eternal works so well from a narrative perspective because its knows what it is and just does it very well.
However the coalition did great job regarding the majority of its narritive,the cutscenes and when kate controls the locusts are excellent towards the end of the video i posted.
But things can be improved and im sure the coalition would agree.
