Iām fine with just Persona 3/4 and Monster Hunter Rise. Heck those games alone will very likely consume my time for months. Persona is a very long game and so is Monster Hunter. And Iām sure wave 2 will have plenty of surprises.
We went from waiting for games, waiting for showcase and now waiting for Game Pass drops

So the Countdown to 2023 Sale had HotWheels Unleashed on sale for a large discount including the GOTY editions. The weekly Xbox sales includes a metric ton of HotWheels Unleashed Addons on sale, like nearly every single one of them and the various combinations in the Vol 1, 2, 3. They seem to be trying to get those additional purchases by having the discounts.
I think its only a matter of time, maybe a month or three, before it enters GamePass (for real this time). Once theyāre not pulling in revenue theyāll take a bite of that juicy GamePass payment.
I am guessing they were working on something that didnāt work out or close in time and they had to pull the trigger.
This would have been super hard to announce last week?
Also, between December and whenever next drop is the balance between added and removed games is not great.

Last 4 weeks were a bit weird. No blog post for the second half of December, random drops at the start of January and the thing with Hot Wheels. This month seems to have a good lineup, they just need to find their communication rhythm again.

The funny thing is that in theory they could have prepared it in advance even last year as P3-P4-MH were known last year. I guess they wanted something more but it did not work out?

Iāve made my stance on this whole communication piece pretty well known here, so this news is pretty annoying but not surprising.
No oneās questioning the quality of these drops.

This is me. Iām very excited for these three games, but itās weird to me how quiet Xbox is and then not sticking to their two month mold. I know 2023 just started but didnāt they say āsee you in 2023ā in their game award trailer? Now here we are looking around like that John Travolta gif.
