Hm, that does sound bearable if they migitate the repetition somewhat. Timers would have killed it instantly as well for me, hehe.
I have difficulties seeing the fun in repeating things, if you do new things its ok to be on a loop. The checklist of things you have to go through tends to just grow for every loop and I cannot see the fun in that. It’s a very unappealing concept.
Wrapped up Forgotten City & Far: Lone Sails, both absolutely great games that aren’t too long to complete.
Now back to Dragon Quest, which I struggled with initially, due to it taking a while to get interesting. Once it opens up though, it’s a pretty glorious game.
Humble Games and Game Pass partnership has been incredible so far! Humble Games to me might be comparable to Annapurna and Devolver as indie publishers with cool, unique and quality games all around!
So I’m playing through a plague tale right now and it’s pretty good. It addressed a lot of my critisism of the first game, mainly the dull, script-like stealth game play through more open areas that let you take different paths and approaches to get through.
One thing really bugs me though. It drags. I just went through a part of the game that reeeealy overstays it’s welcome. It seems like many 2nd instalments in a franchise suffer from this. Add more game time without accounting for it pacing wise.
