Kinda got me thinking of selling the PS5 and being OK playing the defensive version a couple years later on PC
Yeah, Iām in no rush to get a PS5. I bought the PS4 at the end of last gen, with all the games I wanted to play from the whole gen which amounted to about 10 with a few remasters and most being complete editions etc. Still havenāt played them all, lol.
Is there really over 20 million actively paying GamePass subscribers ? Or is just there has been that many people ever subscribed at one point?
So many games I try have dead multiplayer on GamePass which is strange to me. Another thing I noticed when playing hellsinger (GOTY 2022 by the way) on the leaderboards youād expect atleast a million or more if thereās really 20 mill plus subs, but itās only in the tens of thousands for the first levelā¦
Adding to this every GamePass game has a handful of reviews at most on the Microsoft store for me⦠or maybe 1 if youāre lucky
Yes, a lifetime number would be meaningless for a subscription. Perhaps the smaller games like that donāt get as much attention as you assume?
Yup, over 25 million officially as of January 18, 2022.
Any word on what it is now ? 30 million?
Id be curious to see how many hours per week the average GamePass gamer plays, or its just a case of people who are subscribed still, donāt use it and forget to unsub
We havenāt gotten anything other than itās still increasing.
This might have some info youāre interested in
Maybe weāll find out at the next acquisition
, they tend to be cagey with the numbers but if we extrapolate based on officially released numbers for the prior year (between Jan 2021 and Jan 22 they went from 18 to 25 million subscribers) then they should have hit 30 million with the past month or so. Itās hard to say for certain though, as there is all sorts of additional factors to take in.
Iām honestly just curious to see how fast the numbers grow once we finally get a more standard release cadence.
Iām sure adding ABKās backlog will help grow the service too. Between Diablo IV and Starfieldā¦. I expect some good numbers.
Yeah if thereās anything held them back from hitting 30 million by now itās been the quiet 2022 - once we hit 2023 and they start getting big releases out and the Activision deal closes and stuff like the Riot games deal starts - I think weāll really start seeing some growth.
I havenāt seen any reviews published for Moonscars. I liked what I played at gamescom, I wonder how the full game turned out.
Just noticed that Prodeus is also game Preview. Two Game Preview games in Game Pass this month? Personally Iām not a fan of that. Keep that stuf for the section they used to be and have full games for the service.
Pretty sure thatās a mistake. The game card even doesnāt show up for me. The game left early access/preview and launched on the 23rd.
Oh, good to know! Full game after all!
It also has co-op and pvp modes and a lot of community created maps so thatās cool too.
Anyone here played Danganronpa v3? Howās it compare to the first 2 games?
I really liked it, I think it has some of my favourite character writing in the series and the story goes in some interesting directions that I personally enjoyed. It goes without saying but thereās also a solid selection of gameplay improvements - plus this is the first of the trilogy that wasnāt made for the Vita so itās a nice visual step up too. The main thing about V3 though is there is a pretty divisive plot point in there - so you will just as equally get replies from people who just didnāt like the game as a result.
Reporting for duty! I think itās a big step down, and I didnāt care for most of the characters.
Usually farming games are not for me, but Iāve been hooked on Slime Rancher. Itās the cute slimes of course, but also the progression, new locations, new things to find, the story bit, the music, vibe etc. If this had just been only a farm and thatās it it would not have been for me.
I hope Slime Rancher 2 wonāt be in early access/Game Preview too long, hopefully the release for the full version is near. After I am done with the first one itās probably finally time to see what all the hubbub was about regarding The Outer Wilds, especially now with XSX update.
I can highly recommend spider heck, one of the most fun couch co op games Iāve ever played and the wave mode is decent too. Iāve not seen any publicity for this game at all, which is a shame as a lot of people will miss out . Loving ship breaker as well.
