Praying that all his “predictions” are real.
First party is guaranteed though. You have to realize that I go based on how many games a showcase gives me. I don’t care what they show in general. If a showcase has 30+ games like SGF and only a few for me, it’s a mediocre show.
Day One Game Pass is mostly going to be Indies and while others may love them, I don’t and more importantly, that’s not why im watching the showcase.
I agree 100% with the last part in making every new game release exclusive. Previously released games can stay as is but yeah, new game releases should be 100% exclusive to Xbox/PC. I agree with you completely on this.

The only odd thing about Tom’s prediction - is that it is against all other insiders regarding Avowed. Granted nobody knows what’s gonna be there as neither Grubb nor Jez claimed that they know what’s gonna be there.
And even regarding certain games, for example, Jez is sure about Contraband being there, while Grubb doesn’t think so. Grubb assumes that State of Decay 3 might be there, while Jez (and a lot of other people) doesn’t. Regarding Avowed it was a speculation from both Jez and Grubb, based on what they know regarding the state of the game.
Third party wise - sure, but that’s why Microsoft is acquiring publishers. Some deals like MLB might happen too. If they acquire T2 and Capcom, while Sega is releasing their games Day 1 on Game Pass too - who will care about other third party releases not being shown on Xbox showcase?
Henderson is sure Avalanche will have something there as well… (contraband) conflicting info.

It’s just that anyone saying to treat it like any other rumor as a “it may happen this way” - and I’m including Tom, Grubb, Jez, Nick, Aaron Greenberg, Klobrille and anyone else you want in that - and not treat it as gospel - kinda gets shut down pretty fast. So it doesn’t seem like we can have frank discussions.
I legitimately don’t care if he’s right or wrong. I also 100% believe that he believes his source, and I’ll even say I believe that his source is trying to give him good info. There is still A CHANCE that something could change or that it could be incorrect - so while it’s cool that he said _____ and believes it & it’s maybe even 99% likely to come true, it’s still a rumor. Also not saying any other particular person said it would be there - because I haven’t been paying enough attention and again - I really don’t care. Anyway I think I’m done for a while - everyone have a great time tomorrow

Aside from the Avowed stuff what I found interesting is that he said another company would have a big presence at the showcase and that every game at the showcase would be on game pass. The only company I can think of that fits this is Sega.
I’ve not seen any insiders claim Avowed was being shown. I’ve seen them offer predictions that it will be shown based on the assumption we all had up til this point, but that was them speculating. Unless you can point to some insiders saying that they know for sure based on what they have seen/heard from sources that it would be there.
I think its most likely SEGA, but wouldn’t be surprised for it to be CAPCOM or Square either.
But that’s the thing. Nobody knows what’s gonna be on the showcase and just assumed that Avowed will be there because there were rumors about it possibily being there. Both Grubb and Jez confirmed that they don’t know what’s gonna be on the showcase. Just like FM2022, everything a speculation at this point as nobody stated that Avowed will be there.
And that’s why Tom’s prediction looks so odd - it goes against everything we believed.
True. Of course, if they acquire a publisher that does nothing for me, then it won’t matter all that much. For example, ABK does nothing for me. They’re not for me outside of Diablo IV. But Ubisoft is for me. So imagine me getting all their games as exclusives AND on Game Pass day one. That would be awesome but it’s all about if the publisher is for you.
Does Square even have five games that can be at the Xbox showcase that can be day 1 on game pass? Capcom I doubt as well they seem to be against subscription services I can’t think of a single game of theirs on game pass.

What Capcom can even show for 4-5 projects? They have their own showcase on Monday too. Square Enix?
Just to be more clear…this is not a rumor, per se. Or at least, it is not claimed by Tom to be a rumor. This is him claiming it is a leak. Two different things. There is always a chance his source is wrong. I’ve noted that several times in the thread already. We should not try to transform what is probably a 10% chance the source is wrong into a 50% chance though, as many in the thread seem interested in doing.

It could be Square Enix. Trials of Mana Remake, FF7R part 1, Project Triangle Xbox port, Babylon’s Fall and something else. lol
True, for me for example Ubisoft does nothing. But Capcom on the other hand 
With regards to Square, i don’t think so. They have the DioField Chronicle upcoming and the new Valkyrie game. Other than that, Forspoken and FFXVI are locked out of xbox at least for now. They also have the new star ocean, but i think that’s about it.
