Xbox+Bethesda Showcase 2022 | Community "Watch-a-long" thread [Spoiler & Leak Free]

The portable version also lacks cutscenes and makes party member controllable during battle.

I do think Persona 3 aged not poorly, but not great either. It feature great character that have more agency than later Persona games and executes on it’s central theme the best. On the other hand the social link system isn’t that good yet, the only dungeon is a bore and the overworld is boring

I wonder if from here on out their E3 shows will solely consist of Game Pass titles. If yes, then we shouldn’t expect much big party reveals, which personally I find unfortunate. This was definitely something I missed today.

Plenty of games that had me thinking “definitely a game I can see going to GP” and I don’t mean that in a bad way, and it would have added something extra if they had some really big third parties too, that visually impress as well, stand out.

Legitimately excited by this now. The vibe of the game was great but I had a (wrong) sneaking suspicion it was more of a narrative 2D walking sim type thing.

Loved Echo Generation A LOT. This looks so good.

I understand people wanted to see Avowed Hellblade and Perfect dArk…but realistically…these games aren’t coming out for ages.

Why not hype them up for the 2023 Showcase? We might see one of those games before the end of the year

My persona fanboyism aside I think the showing was a solid 8/10. So many Gamepass games

That Team Ninja Game looked dope.

So I rewatched the conference as well as a few of the reaction videos and I think the show was better than I originally thought but for me it suffered from 2 main issues

  1. The 12 month restriction, I think if they had announced that before so everyone was going in without the expectation of seeing possibly anything people would have been much more forgiving because the line up they showed for the next 12 months and all of it on gamepass is actually damn good

A few more big exclusive games in the middle would have done a lot though even if they were inengine/cgi things to help spread things out but yeah, cant do that with the 12 month plan

  1. While leaks were handled much better this year than ever, pretty much all the big stuff was out there

Persona and Kojima are both huge to have on xbox regardless but if people went in completely blind without those leaks theyd have been even bigger than they were

Overall it was a good show and the next 12 months look great and Kojima working on an xbox game is insanely hype for me, it just didnt need that 12 month restriction imo

You know if it’s a soulslike?

Well said.

Unfortunately Kojima had nothing to say about what kind of game he’ll be making. So I guess we can look forward to endless speculation about Silent Hill, Overdose and all that, lol.

Starfield for me after I saw that it was indeed exactly like last year’s video and many didn’t believe that was ingame. But honestly nothing else, in terms of a omg moment.

Man can’t we just skip through the rest of the year to 2023 already :smiling_face_with_tear:

It certainly wasn’t a great show for XGS including Publishing. Many missing.

Yeah, thissssss!!!

After a while we got to those trailers that said World Premier and Xbox Game Studios and each time I got excited, hoping it would be Avowed, or Hellblade 2, I had already forgotten by that point what Sarah Bond had said about the twelve months thing.

XGS was there, just not with the games I hoped for aside from Starfield and Redfall of course.
