Here is the point, it is about telling people who do not want to play on phones and want to play on consoles, in which console you can get xbox exclusives plus a great third party catalog, that console is xbox. If you offer that service on ps5 and Switch, what is the point of getting an xbox? play games natively? That could be done on Ps5 and Switch plus xbox games via streaming.

If streaming is good enough for you for Xbox games then you don’t need an Xbox.

The success of Game Pass (and Xbox) depends on masses of users, that is not a failure, thats by design. More Game Pass users mean better Game Pass content and better Xbox games. The results are already here.

Xbox doesnt need to put Xcloud/GP on PS5 or Switch in the same way Zenimax games dont either in order to bring a benefit to the xbox ecosystem.

If they own all of those things already, what is the downside to letting them use a switch. They already have access to all of the games.

Like I’ve said, that only benefits Nintendo and it’s users. What are the upside for me as an Xbox user? Why should I be happy about this?

Why would Xbox prevent a paying customer of xCloud to use it on other devices? This is not consumer friendly and counter intuitive.

It benefits xcloud by increasing its reach. Just like getting iOS, TV, and PC apps does. I also expect that the conversion rate of Switch owners to GP would be MUUUCH higher than Android and iOS owners.

Also, I’m a Switch user and an Xbox user. I’d be quite happy with xCloud on Switch. Hopefully the new Switch can do 5g.

I am a player mainly of consoles, if through the cloud I can play the playstation games on my xbox, I would no longer need to buy a playstation, if on my xbox I can play the Switch exclusives through the cloud, I would no longer need to buy a nintendo switch.

As a primarily console gamer, streaming is a plus, it’s not one or the other.

Through the cloud, you can play Xbox games on your TV and don’t need to buy an xbox.
