If we focus on studios that work or have worked with Xbox, Bethesda, or Activision:
Certain Affinity
Asobo
Double Eleven
Iron Galaxy
Dladla Studios
Oxide Game
Remedy
People Can Fly
IOI
Crytek
Stoic
Don’t Nod
Behaviour Interactive
Avalanche Studios
Crystal Dynamics
Eidos
Skybox Labs
Frontier
BlackBird Interactive
Rebellion Developments
Platinum Games
Int./Night
Brass Lion Entertainment
Playful
Maybe CDPR (Because PC studio+ The Witcher 2 console exclusive + Xbox marketing)
Maybe Paradox (Because FASA legacy)
Tell me if I missed anyone (I voluntarily removed Moon Studio for reasons we all know). That already gives us a very good list of studios, and on the publisher side, I would say that the most organic are Ubisoft and SEGA.
Yes, buy them all.
My list that I’ve referenced a few times:
Asobo
Crystal Dynamics
Eidos
IOI
Certain Affinity
Neon Giant
CDPR
Paradox
As for publishers, spot on there as well. Ubisoft and SEGA.

…ith iron galaxy, something tells me that they just make this fortnite melee combat thing to have resources for their next game, we will need to wait and see
Hitman fits perfectly under gamepass, and who knows what else they could make with creative freedom, I am still waiting for their dragon mmo
I cant comment about brass lion right now, the only thing that I know is that they are a new team formed by talent from the industry(I have heard they got some people from bioware or something), but yea, just like stoic I think they will be great for experimental titles
And to finish this very long message, I think I have said several times about my opinion on platinum, as much as I love them, I will not blame xbox for not being interested after what happened with scalebound
Btw sorry for my english
Quality post right there.
I also happen to agree with all of it.

For better or worse, I think MS do not look to those startup studios by veteran devs and prefer established studios, maybe for good reason sometimes as those startups overhype and underwhelm eventually, but sometimes you do get something special there (like Respawn). A straight up acquisition of a startup I really doubt unless there’s some attractive patent or tech involved, but I think publishing partnership if they find something cool and worthy.
If they go for a startup I prefer Humanoid Studios

I’m most excited for That’s No Moon!
Them or Skydance New Media, I made a list a while ago:

Over the last few years we have seen a number of industry veterans establish their own new AAA studio.
Many of these come from well established studios such as Naughty Dog, Santa Monica, Bungie, Ubisoft, Bioware, Blizzard, Rockstar, Treyarch etc.
We have already seen PlayStation undertake exclusive deals with a number of these studios in order to help fund and publish their first AAA game, including:
Firewalk Studios (Bungie, Sucker Punch & Infinity Ward)
Deviation Games (…

What about publishing their game? I think thats the best way to test those brand new studios, it also build hype for their titles, and if it ends being bad then xbox will not lose much
I think you’d struggle to find another Obsidian nevermind another dozen

Obsidian is an uncommon case in the industry in the same vein as Insomniac, studios who keep pumping new games almost every year in genres that others would take triple the time, its really rare to find something like this, maybe From and KojiPro come in second.

CyberConnect2👀
Cyberconnect 2 would flourish under xbox, pumping games that could have a bigger impact on gamepass
The classic fighting games, jrpgs and then interesting titles such as fuga melodies and tail concerto

Id put a couple game studios in this category with Avalanche, Platinum and Rebellion.
There are others that are very regular with their game releases that I think would flourish and round out their catalogue nicely: Supergiant Games, IOI and People Can Fly.

Respawn are absolutely there if not at the top considering their range and versatility (fps, story/mp, BR live service, 3rd person action games)
From are legit but I think they lack range and versatility
KojiPro? What? For what exactly?

KojiPro released a AAA game like less than 4 years after being opened, its an impressive time.
Right, by AAA standards that was quite efficient. But we’ll see how they do more and different projects in the future.
