3 different times I had him down and didn’t see the Y+B prompt lol, kinda feel stupid now realizing I could have kicked his ass several times and wasted less time on him.
Lu Bu, is that the first boss? Already forgot his name.
Hollow Knight is a game I got quite far into, didn’t had much problems with boss fights. Unless I am not far at all and I have yet to get those battles. I shouldn’t have dropped it. Been a few years now.
I am so damn glad the devs give you the option for divine beast, because otherwise I would have been dead already. With so little health left, had I have to chip away all his health I would have been a goner and very likely given up.
Nah Lu Bu is the dude with the spear on the horse, he was sorta shown off at the game’s reveal last year (so not a spoiler) , you fight him i’m gonna say about the mid way point in the game, an like I said, kind of a brick wall if you still struggle with the parrying.
I beat Lu Bu on xcloud. He was hard until you lesrn the timing of his special attacks.
Honestly being a Sekiro and Nioh expert myself im finding this game to be easy in comparison. Nioh 2 and sekiro are way more challenging than this.
Beat Lu Bu last night after roughly a hour of attempts and while it seems like a brick wall, it’s very fairly designed if you just go and learn timings. I’m glad joy every fight is like that as it’d get old fast, but it’s a really good placement for a real challenge when most bosses can be button mashed.
I read that apparently the achievements you would’ve got for playing the full game unlock after beating the third boss if your continuing from your demo save. I don’t know if they actually do since I started the game over myself.
But yeah my second time around I also beat him in my second try too lol. He gets easier once you know what you’re doing.
Finished the first three levels and first side mission and so far so good. Feels like a team ninja attempt at sekiro combat with team Ninjas level design. The bosses haven’t been too bad, I think three attempts is the most it’s taken to learn their moves and beat them. The only pain I’ve had is a wyvern fight on a sort of plateau where my companions kept dropping onto ledges off the edge and so did the wyvern. Whenever I tried to join them I would fall off.
Performance seems fine, I haven’t noticed any drops or anything but I have a VRR TV/AVR so it’s probably smoothing any fps hits
It took me like 5 hours but I finally killed the first boss. Embarrassing
How should i deal with spending virtue points? Should I just pick 2 catagories and ignore all the others? I hate feeling like I’m not allocating points properly.
I’d like to know this too. I put most points into the first for now, not sure at all about the others.
Alright, I got started with this.
I modeled my character after Shizuna from The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki. Face and bangs could be better (I was getting impatient and wanted to play lol) but I’m happy with how she looks from behind.
Now as for Zhang Liang (first boss), I recorded my first attempt against him, and, well, I won.

Put quite a lot of time today into this now. Completed the “Part two” section with all side quests done and all flags found for that section. Now I’m in the mountain village that’s reminding me of Monster Hunter
Game’s pretty easy so far (Sorry if you’re struggling, I got all achievements in Nioh 1 and 2 so I’m used to what TN is expecting of me lol). I’m first attempting most of the bosses and the common enemies have all been pretty easy to kill.
The exploration completely beats Nioh thanks to being able to jump and climb things. I also like hunting for all those flags, it’s more satisfying than the little Kodamas from Nioh (though this game has those small bear things that you feed ingots too lol)
I did noticed the game has a 2 1/2 star rating on the Canadian marketplace, and you guessed it, they’re saying the first boss is too hard. Again, I won first attempt, but I guess the game could ease you into things better.
IMO it seems like they’re trying to play the game like Souls/Elden Ring which will get you nowhere fast. TN games demand hyper aggression from you.
I do see though that 32.50% of players have the achievement for beating him
Anyway, I messed with the photo mode before logging off.
Wo Long is probably the best 3rd party gamepass game in a while, it’s like Nioh dynasty warriors edition. And also, how do you beat Lu Bu?
If were talking purely new day 1 games then Probably the best imo. This game is way better than outriders/atomic heart for me.
I mainly put into three, fire and wood being the main ones. Fire for the damage, wood for the HP and duration of spells and then a bit into earth for the armor load. I also put a few points into water just for enemies that are strong to fire so I can use a couple of water spells
Struggled with the first boss at first but wasn’t too bad once I got the timing down. In the end I don’t think the fight was unfair or too hard
It’s a tough fight. I found what helped me was to respect into earth and a spell called imposing slab. It creates pillars of rock to come out of the ground in front of you. So I would parry his red attacks while he’s on his horse, then cast that which caused a lot of damage and forced him off the horse quicker. Then while he’s on the ground parry his red attacks, follow up with a hit or two. When he’s just doing normal attacks I would again use pillars of rock and whenever he attacked through it parry those attacks while the pillars did the damage. Also when he’s staggered don’t immediately stab him, if you watch the bar it depletes quite quickly so I get a few attacks in first and then stab him. Just does that extra bit of damage
Been playing all evening in co-op, it’s quite fun!
One thing though, how important is defense when it comes to armors? I’ve been equipping armor pieces with the best defense rating. But here’s the thing…
When I check equipment weight it says 76.9% and below it, it says 30.4
This is in yellow. I have been upgrading the stat that improves equipment load, but should I be wearing armor that weighs less but also have way less defense?
I think it really depends on you. If you think you need that extra armor, and you feel like you might be getting hit a lot then you’re probably fine wearing it. Just be mindful that since your character is “heavy” (yellow in equipment weight), your gonna be putting more stress on your spirit gauge than if you were lighter.
If you want your character to be medium weight you’ll have to be under 70%.
Done with Part 3 on the map now. All flags collected. That felt pretty short. Saw Lu Bu in a cutscene, heard he’s quite the wall himself so can’t wait for him to sit my ass down , doing him justice sounds like.
