Wouldn’t it have been much better if the wording had been
“There are still some deals in place that we intend to honor, but after that all of Bethesda’s games will be exclusive to Xbox and PC players.”?
He specifically mentions new Bethesda games and how Xbox and Game Pass are the best way to play these. New games would be anything unreleased right now, including Starfield.
Some new titles in the future will be exclusive.
With what Zhuge said awhile ago im sure this was the point of this whole thing. Not necessarily to take away games from Playstation but moreso to boost Game Pass even more
Nice, can’t wait for PlayStation to sell like hot cakes and a lot of games to get moneyhatted or skip Xbox, I’m staying on PC until I see the contrary.
Because the gaming media hates Microsoft. Look at how the reaction of the Tomb Raider exclusive announcement was and compare it to the reaction of FF7R. Be vague is the best possible way to let them shut up about it. You can criticize full exclusivity if you don’t know shit.
Do I like how vague this statement is ? Definitely not. But it’s probably the best way to say it like this.
Why not just say “future new titles” and drop the some then?
“Currently existing titles will be experienced best on Xbox/PC with future new titles exclusive to Xbox and PC(not counting Ghostwire/Deathloop”
That “some” word changes the whole statement. I’m remaining cautiously optimistic we get a more definitive answer on Thurs but also realistic that this might be it.
