If you want to play Bethesda games just find a way into the xbox ecosystem. This is no different than how a lot of xbox fans this gen had to find their way into Nintendo and Playstation systems to play a lot of exclusives (be it third party or 1st party).
Its how the game works and Microsoft has big chips now to deal with it so I PRAY that they arent stupid.

Exactly. More and more is Sony making sure people get a PS5 if they want a SE game on day one. Project Athia really has no business being timed exclusive at all, but here we are, FF7R? Fuck knows if it ever comes to Xbox, FF16? It’s timed exclusive for two years and then comes to…PC and maybe, just maybe Xbox? Lol.

I wouldn’t doubt it Sony is being really aggressive this time around, it’s feeling threatened lol.
Right now I’m thinking MMOs stay multiplat forever, ongoing deals are honored, new games are Xbox ecosystem exclusives.
The only thing I’m not sure yet is ongoing series sequels like Wolfenstein 3. I could imagine these games being on PS5.
I hope not, because it’s going to make for some messy…messages I guess. Instead of Xbox being able to just straight up say “These are Xbox only franchises now” or “Bethesda is a Xbox only studio now” they have to say “there are exceptions for Deathloop and Ghostwire, and another game that we’ll announce shortly.”
Because I can’t imagine them announcing Wolfenstein 3 like that there. But I guess they’ll find a way. Ideally it’s just all Xbox only now. Because I’m sorry, Sony is lucky that Xbox honors the two deals and didn’t go straight against it. I’m sure they could have.

No, I don’t anticipate there ever being console exclusives. I hope future Bethesda games will be PC/XBox exclusives as well as available for streaming on Android/iOS devices.
Meaning going forward:

You will be able to fully install games on PC & XBox.
-
You will be able to stream games on PC/XBox/Android/iOS assuming you have GP Ultimate.

Sony fans acting like getting into the Xbox ecosystem is some uncrossable barrier that they could not possibly obtain.
It’s so silly they put their own made up barriers to prevent them from enjoying games on other platforms. They act like their house will burn down if an Xbox console appeared in it.
After years of Xbox has no games memes they are finally realizing they might have to dip in to Xbox to play the games they want.

Now even Matty has a video about Bethesda and in the title he calls it a MAJOR event, but I don’t recall anyone ever having said that. People get disappointed this way real quick and I don’t really understand why people do this.

Yeah this can lead to unfounded expectations, he surely means it is a major event because this never happened before in the industry and not about an stream itself.
I guess so too, haven’t watched the video myself yet. But personally for a video title I would put something different there, but ah well.
