Will Bethesda Games be Xbox Console Exclusive?

That too. I wonder what they know.

Still, nothing does better PR for Playstation, than Xbox.

Yeah it’s strange.

I think they know it will be bad. We’re fucked.

Welcome! I agree with you. This time, though, I don’t think that any insider knows what Microsoft is going to do. I mean, if Brad Sams doesn’t know… I’m going to disagree with their guesses and I’m still hopeful, a little bit, that Microsoft is capable of taking the right decision. Released games will be supported on other platforms, contracts will be honored, fair enough, but each and every future game are going to be exclusive to the Microsoft ecosystem, as it should be.

But that would mean something between that interview and now has been drastically changed, because it just doesn’t make any sense.

One thing we now do know, Tom’s tweet isn’t a reason to be afraid of bad news. Just these the insiders have been rather quiet today is a little odd.

Wait, what did Brad say?

They have been talking all day though. What the hell are you all talking about?

Dealer is sticking with his stuff, Colt’s still talking about Xbox exclusivity and shutting down trolls.

Jez is still sticking to his side, and Timdog is only active at night now.

Seems like business as normal to me looking at their tweets and replies, they’re just not as active today.

Pull yourself together for pete’s sake.

Once again, I don’t see a single reason why the vast majority of these games should be available anywhere outside of the Xbox ecosystem. Personally. But I’m not out here running a multi-billion dollar company so :man_shrugging:

This deal is without a doubt one of the biggest things that has ever happened in gaming. There could be reasons that I haven’t thought of.

This is for sure though, moving forward we can guarantee that none of these games will ever be timed exclusive on any other system again & they will always be day 1 on Game Pass. That’s always nice.

Still, they bloody well should be exclusive

Good to know!

My bad on that, I went with what Andrew said. I haven’t been on Twitter much myself. So again, my bad.

He basically says that he thinks that Bethesda will still release games that are being worked on for PlayStation as to not waste any assets or devalue what they bought. In general, he says that he thinks so, he says that his guts tell him, he says that his opinion is based on what Phil said, so I concluded that he doesn’t know.

Dealer, Cybershaun, all of them are still playing the game. Parris out there as well, Jez said his peace this morning.

RDX is tomorrow night.

Ah, right. As far as I know Phil only mentioned honoring deals which is to our knowledge Deathloop and Ghostwire, but if Skyrim 10th anniversary is true, that’s another one. Starfield would be anyone’s guess and TES VI, I doubt any real work on that has been done yet.

Cybershaun? That’s a new name for me. I’ll check it out tomorrow.

Microsoft is unlikely to get into the specifics about Bethesda’s upcoming projects. Details about the previously announced sci-fi role-playing adventure Starfield will likely come this summer, so Xbox and Bethesda won’t talk about that now. Instead, they will explain what the deal means for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

In particular, a number of Bethesda games should make the leap to Game Pass soon. Microsoft will also use this time to reiterate that any future (and contractually eligible) game from under the Zenimax umbrella will hit Game Pass at launch.

Xbox and Bethesda are also not planning to mash together their summer showcases. Both companies are preparing announcements for around E3 (the Electronic Entertainment Expo trade show), but they will hold them separately. Microsoft, however, may try to present them back-to-back as part of a one-two punch for Xbox.

Finally, it’s still unclear whether Microsoft and Bethesda will address the question of platform exclusivity. PlayStation fans want to know if Bethesda releases like Starfield, Indiana Jones, or The Elder Scrolls VI will also launch on PS5. The Thursday presentation may provide a black-and-white answer, or it might keep things gray — especially if its plans are more nuanced and conditional from game to game.

Microsoft will likely confirm the event in the next day or two.

The only reason to drag it out is to ease the bad news. Zenimax games will be day 1 on Game Pass? No shit, sherlock. That would not even be a thing to “reiterate” if Bethesda where normal first party. They are going multiplat, fucking hell.

They really are going to hit us with case by case basis.

Sickening if any of these games land on anywhere thats not xbox or pc.

Please do not assume anything or fear monger about games maybe ending up on other platforms
