What are you currently playing?

Yeah… Dead Space 3 is not great.

It’s not bad, but I miss the tight horror from the first game. The second game hit the balance right between horror and action, if they had to go in that direction.

Finished Sniper Elite 5.

This was honestly a surprise. Very good game, it wasn’t what I expected it to be, I thought it was gonna be a sniping gallery game that I’d put down after a couple of hourse, but I was totally wrong.

It’s totally a stealth and infiltration sandbox, it can be a sniping gallery if you want but I very much played it more like MGSV & Splinter Cell. Think MGSV but less mechanically complex, and that’s fine, it can be a much more focused experience that way. I like the mission structure, instead of full on open-world or smaller linear missions, it mixes the best of both worlds, it consists of 9 open-field big missions with multiple objectives, points of interests, and pathways for different playstyles, each one can be normally played for at least 90 minutes in average and more depending on playstye.

It’s a really well made game, very much on the AAA side of things where it counts if you ask me, and overall it’s also a really impressive package. A 15-20 hour campaign and depending on playstyle can be more, and it’s designed to be hugely replayable. Can be even played in co-op. The game also has an invasion mode where you can invade other’s campaigns or be invaded by others but I turned it off. There’s a bunch of PvP and co-op MP modes as well. Game has one mission DLC, no microtransactions as far as I know, which is great considering all the content and MP modes. Rebellion really impressed me with this. I’ll probably replay some of the missions, and I hope they could release extra missions, I’d gladly pay for them.

If I give it a score, it’d be a very solid 8.5/10. Definitely one of my favorite 3rd party Game Pass day one additions

You’re not kidding. I’m on mission six, guesstimating about halfway through, and the game stats tab says I’m at 1d 14hrs. :slightly_smiling_face:

I fully expect this to be a 45-55 hour game or more. I’ve played them all since #2, and they keep getting better and better but they’re all very worthwhile. I’m gonna have to check if it has my stats for 3 and 4 as well…

There were missions where I went for all objectives in pure stealth, those took up to 3 hours, but there are others where I didn’t go for everything and expermimted with more assault options and finished in less than 2 hours. From the quick math I can do looking at my mission stat, it took me roughly 22 hours overall.

FYI, if you open the achievements for the game and go to the Stats section, it’ll tell you your total playtime. No need for math. :yum:

I just did for entries 2-4 in this series, and it didn’t have anything for 2 and 3. I understand 2, as it was a 360 game, but 3 is weird. It has a timer, but it’s at 0d 0h 0m. It has entries for the other stats (longest shot, etc.) but no time. Weird.

For 4 my time is 2d 22h, but that’s complicated a bit because I played through it twice. Once single and once co-op. If I deduct my co-op partner’s time, I end up at 1d 23h.

I suspect I’ll play the fifth one for more than that.

Have been drinking my coffee(and so many other things) in my second life for a while now in

Alan Wake Remastered.

Currently on Chapter 3. One chapter per day. Game is good but very slow and boring. I’m very happy that Alan Wake 2 is survival horror game as opposed to a psychological horror. I can say that once I complete this game, it will be my lowest (18th) rated game of the current generation.

On the bright side, a week from Tuesday, it will be time to jump back in to Outriders which im very much looking forward to it!!

Yeah, I realize that, but I also keep games on pause & mian menu a lot, so I figure the console counts those and adds more hours than I actually played

It’s the atmosphere in that game that really did it for me. The tense atmosphere when nothing is really happening but you see those trees swaying in the dark and you don’t know when enemies will appear.

I agree with you though, it’s good Remedy is changing things around because a direct sequel and exactly like that…nah.

Had a lot of fun with that as well.

The atmosphere is definitely excellent in Alan Wake. The light/gun combat is solid. Overall, a good game but very happy that Remedy decided to go in a different direction with AW 2.

The Witcher 3. I had originally started it on PC, but decided I wanted to play it on Xbox so bought it again.

i wanna play it now because Soul hackers 2 comes out and then its just big game after big game and when Royal hits that’s a 100+ hour game. I guess I could wait for gamepass next year for AI but theyre putting out a physical copy. Might as well buy it.

Finally got playing Cyberpunk 2077. Currently in the last mission of the story and going to do some side quests before finishing. Being a fan of the witcher 3, it was a huge step down from it in every aspect, in my opinion. Still a enjoyable game, 7.8/10. Characters are likeable, gfx are good for the most part, combat and story are decent, however nothing really blew my mind.

Me likey Fortnite :yum:

I really loved Witcher 3. I still need to play the DLCs though.

Playing Child of Light and I have to say, this game is really great. Nice artstyle and a pretty unique battle system. We really need more modern turn-based RPGs. It’s why I’m real excited for Soul Hackers 2, Persona 5 Royal, Eiyuden Chronicle, Temtem, and the next mainline Yakuza game. I’m also playing Mafia: Definitive Edition simultaneously. It’s alright. I like the story but the gameplay feels… clunky. Maybe I need to play more.

Pretty much still playing Halo Infinite daily too. Game’s too fun to stop, even if new content is slow.

RIP Ubiart. Had some amazing games in its short-lived existence. Child of Light was beautiful and the soundtrack man
