Wait…what do you mean that you died and had to start over? Is The Ancient Gods a rogue like or something?
From my understanding, if you have “Extra Life” mode enabled, you basically restart your full progress if you run out of lives. Otherwise it should play normally.
I’m guessing I must’ve been attempting to go for an achievement years ago. That’s what I get for taking a chance on an old save and not starting a clean one. Lol
Okay, gotcha.
Just got Final Fantasy XIV Complete. That and Octopath Traveler 2 from Gamepass and Street Fighter 6
Playing Sekiro still, somehow, I have been I have been getting through the game and currently fight Sekiro’s dad. It’s going pretty well, have yet to get pass one of his health, only have gotten him down to half health but I’m confident I’m learning and will eventually get through him. Although the speed of his attacks(they feel somewhat delayed compared to others) is throwing me off a bit when it comes to deflecting.
Also playing Elder Scrolls Online, mostly just messing around as I haven’t had the desire to play the questlines I haven’t yet. Still need to order Gold Road, but until them I’m going to just do a dungeon or 2 a day. With some parsing to not lose the ability to actually dps in this game.
Starfield as always, slowed down a little because of the whole I want to play other games. But when I do play the game I tend to spend quite a bit of time running around questing and just messing around.
Halo Infinite and Halo 5, more 5 than Infinite because while both games have their connectivity issues(Halo 5 disconnects from a game, hitches during gameplay a couple of times and most play list are empty) Halo Infinite will better than it was before for me. Still has more issues being stable than I would like, some games feel sluggish or delayed with the added shots feeling like they’re not connecting kind of makes the experience feel blah(but that’s a me issue).
Also playing Shin Megami Tensei Vengeance, as all Persona games(I know Persona’s are spinoffs) the game is a pretty good for the little of what I have played. But I have some issues with the way they handle basic mechanics like party members and skills allotment. Compared to Persona 5 and Persona 3 Reload it feels clunky.
Picked up and started Fire Emblem Engage on Switch. I’m in the minority and happy that the boring social stuff from the last FE I played is toned down a lot. Just give me my tactical battles! Fun so far, but only 5 missions done yet.
Bounced around a few games. Was playing Octopath Traveler 2 for a bit but decided to grab infinite wealth because i figured now was a good as a time to grab it. And using botney manor as my achievement game for rewards.
But infinite wealth has been a fun game. On chapter 4 right now. Don’t know if i will go for 100% completion like i did with like a dragon. But we will see. Still got a couple of games i could go back to and continue to work through.
NiER Automata
Hellblade 2. Halfway through and can’t get into any rhythm with combat…
State of Decay…again (on cloud with mouse and keyboard)
Starfield and Destiny 2.
The Shattered Space trailer captured my interest and made me want to go back to the base game. In my original run I focused on the story and side quests, so now I’m messing with research projects, base building and ship building all in addition to side quests.
Working my way through the Witch Queen content in Destiny with a friend. We kind of did things out of order. I think it’s the final expansion we have yet to finish before we go into The Final Shape content.
18 hours in to Marvel Midnight Suns and I am Enjoying this game soo far. The combat system is a challenge for me even on Normal ( I aint too smart), though I never loose I always have to use my revive in some of the harder missions.
Though I dont go explore all the secrets in the Abbey I still enjoy the key abbey activities and conversations. Some of the conversations are a bit dull but half of them are interesting.
Decided to dig up Shadowrun Dragonfall from the backlog, it’s pretty good so far! I like the vibe of these games.
Also doing my daily tiddies in A Little to the Left…
Mostly just been playing EA FC 24 recently with the European Championship being added to the game.
Welcome to the forums!
As for what I’m playing:
Elden Ring Shadow of The Erdtree - mostly doing my best to clear the game because the bosses are hard(mostly rememberence bosses) and I keep falling short of victory on my own. My mimic though is performing up their usual kick ass standard.
Cassette Beast - from the little I have played, it’s pretty much Digimon meets Pokémon.
SMT V:vengeance - it’s my first entry into an Smt game nit called Persona. For the most part I’m enjoying the game but somethings seem silly to me, when compared to their more light hearted spinoff in Persona.
Still Wakes the Deep - started a bit ago but haven’t been back, still planning on finishing it when I can.
Sekiro Shadows Die Twice - I’m mostly close to done with this game, I only need to get lucky enough to defeat the Demon of Hatred(or learn the cheese) and the final boss. So far have only managed 1 health bar for both.
Glad to see you make it to the forums. Your kindness and truckloads of support during the podcasts have been great to see.
Thanks, i just really enjoy all the work XboxEra does. For me, being able to contribute so the team can make the best content they are capable of is a small price to pay.
A week or two ago I was fully into Witcher 3 Blood and Wine. Then my stupid ass decided to buy Disco Elysium for a nice price and been playing that a lot.
Then for…reasons I decided to check out Nintendo Switch Online and particularly Ocarina of Time with the intention to actually finish it which I didn’t in the 90s. Now with Xbox sale I got Soulstice, Doki Doki and Vertigo (Alfred Hitchcock). Sometimes I’m my biggest enemy, lmao. So random, kinda chaotic but I’ll be goddamned if I don’t love this hobby.
Edit, I forgot Metroid Prime Remastered, bought that the other day in the sale, sheesh man.
I relate to this. I have a hard time finishing games for this reason. There’s so many things to check out on a weekly basis between sales, GP and updates.
