I don’t like the 3 weapon thing in Immortals of Aveum, and having to press Y to scroll between them kinda sucks…
First time playing Brothers! Playing the original version on Game Pass

Ah well I hope you enjoy it! Its an easy 1,000G too if that’s something you’re into.
I remember playing it back when it was a GWG title on the 360 and was surprised by how much I liked it. Although the dual analog stick thing can be a bit to get used to.
Just beat the second spirit in Tales of Kenzera and I have to say that fight is either buggy, or it requires that we kill enough ads to proceed. Because I got the bosses health down in one of my attempts to zero and I was forced to chase it to attack it for 4 to 5 cycles and it didn’t die. But this time, I focus some ads earlier on and after getting it to zero it died.
Just finished Tales of Kenzera Zau, it’s a very good game with some great visuals, some collision bugs here and there that make some areas a little annoying.
Overall, the combat is fun with some interesting boss fights and mobs, but the Moon Mask is better than the Sun Mask in every way. Outside of some enemies that needed the Sun Mask specifically and setting enemies on fire with an attack, the Sun Mask just wasn’t as useful as the Moon Mask.
I loved the story and while the ending was predictable, it still had a pretty good impact on me.
Beat Octopath 2 and Hellblade 2 last week
Now playing Mario Wonder and been bitten by the Starfield bug again…
Just finished Bloodborne and The Old Hunters expansion for it.
… wow. I loved this. A lot of backlog titles are nearing (or potentially jumping into) my top 10 favorites.
I mean, a cosmic horror/gothic Lovecraftian soulsborne game with some of the best boss fights I’ve ever had the pleasure of encountering… how could I not love it?
And hopefully the remaster curse continues and we get a remaster of this announced for next year (had this happen to me with TLOU2 and Until Dawn last year).
Bloodborne with Old Hunters is a great package and the expansion lifts the whole experience a lot of steps above. The Old Hunters is probably the best content in the game with some awesome areas but mainly because of the amazing boss fights. Also Bloodborne was the first From game where I did a level 1 character challenge playthrough and had a lot of fun with it (The Old Hunters was hard as nails as you can imagine haha).
It’s really impressive how consistently high quality are all the From expansions, in an era when a lot of us looked at “extra DLC content” with a lot of suspicion Fromsoft made the amazing Artorias of the Abyss and after that they continued to deliver every time with their expansions. If you think about it it’s crazy that the upcoming Elden Ring expansion costs 40 euros and (almost) no one complained about it’s price, 11 years now From and Miyazaki fully earned the community’s trust one step at a time with patience and high quality content (a lot of people in the industry could learn a lot from them)…I guess it also helped that From always stayed away from MTX BS so that helped a lot too.
And to stay on topic I am still playing Dragon’s Dogma 2 and loving every second of it, if any motto was used in the development of the game it should’ve been “gameplay, gameplay, gameplay”, exploration and combat are the highlights of the game building on the first game’s great foundation with a much more dense level design/world and even better combat. What surprised me was how fun are the quests of the game, really cool stuff with how dynamic and unpredictable the world feels at times. I am already at 80hrs and yesterday I progressed the main story to the point of finally going to the second section of the world, I can’t stress enough how fun exploration is in this game!
Playing Guilty Gear Strive, Blazblue from gamepass, and Soulcalibur 6 libra of soul mode
Started Hellblade II last night.
Firing up Destiny 2 this evening.
Still playing Hellblade 2, but have gotten a little distracted and started up Lords Of The Fallen and Sekiro Shadows Die Twice.
Along with some MP matches in Halo Infinite: have had better matches in total now that I set the match making settings to expanded. But I still get some really bad matches every once in a while.
In Lords: the world map is kind of confusing and I’m trying to figure out what I need to do. I think I need to activate the red lamp and then kill the machine gun sword guy, because I seemed to have explored the area. But I’m missing a key, if that’s even the way I have to go.
In Sekiro: I have made it to the bull fight, but I’m trying to figure out how to run pass ass the ads without getting too much aggro. So far it seems I just have to drag everything behind me and start the fight to keep them out.
In Hellblade 2: I’m on chapter 6.
In Starfield: I have been messing around to level my 2 new characters, one Is at 49 and the other at 23. With the current armor I have on my level 49 character, it feels like extreme enemy damage is being mitigate pretty well. If I get advance or supirior versions of them with energy resistance, ballistic resistance and veteran legendary effects they should make the damage manageable for melee(it’s already there up to level 60 enemies).
Yakuza 6, Control, and Forza Motorsport in the current cycle
Finished Bramble yesterday. I recommend a playthrough before it goes away from Game Pass: it’s a short 4 hour game about a boy going after his kidnapped sister and living through twisted, creepy fairy tales. It’s an easy puzzle platformer.
Should be finishing up God of War 2018 either tonight or tomorrow. The first half of the game, while great story wise, dragged when it came to combat. Enjoying it quite a bit more now, but kinda surprised by how well this reviewed. Maybe the last few hours will really wow me.
Afterward, I should probably get to starting Kingdom Hearts II…. But that Bloodborne platinum is calling my name.
Continued my Sekiro playthrough, and I’m already reaching the limits of my skill. While I manage to defeat Lady Butterfly in the Hirata Estate after like 40 attempts, I feel like the bull is going to still kick my ass.
Because I felt I got lucky at the end of the fight with Lady B and not because I had ability to win.
Edit’ OK, I was wrong and have proceeded past the bull. But whenever I face basic enemies I keep feeling like I haven’t quite improved.
I’m not sure if this will help, but it did for me. Think of it like a rhythm game. Worry about building up poise through parrying first to learn enemy movements, then implement more aggressive tactics once you have that down. I also made sure to prioritize survival over damage, just to help learn boss patterns and find ways to make progress (like jumping on the boss’s head with a lot of human enemies can be helpful).
I too had problems getting into Sekiro, but once it clicked I started speeding through NG+ runs like they’re nothing.
You got this. If you’re not feeling it now, there’s nothing wrong with setting it down and coming back to it some other day. Had to do that after my first attempt.
I’m making progress, got pass the woo guy and his tengu mask brigade. Unfortunately I suck at rhythm games, so I can only push on with stealthily getting rid of ads when I can fighting them or running when I can’t.
But I’m not giving up yet, currently trying my luck against the guy in the well where we first start.
Getting some Halo MCC Achievements that I’ve been missing as a way to prep for tomorrow.
My stamp of approval. Just did two speedruns of this game in the last 28 or so hours.
I hope we get more of this world (outside of the movie), as it truly is such a wonderous world to explore and the aesthetic is so up my alley I don’t know if it was even possible for me not to like it.
Now time to relax and play something hopefully a little more chill.
So just fought this guy at the Ashina dojo, he has very little health and posture but he has one super fast sword drawing attack.
He was kicking my ass through out until, I decided to just spam deflect because why not? and I caught every one of his drawing attacks and beat him. Lmao.
Just got to the final boss in DOOM Eternal - Ancient Gods Part 1. Started off my old save from years ago.
Died then had to start over the whole DLC…… younger me must’ve put on extra life mode. DANG IT!
Guess I’ll try get back to it soon.
Completed Indika and God of War 2018 earlier this week. Giving both 8/10.
Indika is definitely worth experiencing if you’re a fan of dark, fascinating stories that delve into religious themes and the dark sides of humanity. The A24 comparison was pretty spot on imo.
