I was going to play Ishin but after Gaiden, I was like nah. lol
Agree in regards to the AI voice suggestion. I wouldn’t mind that.
BD was freaking amazing!!! Loved that game.
Agreed. I only played the main story in Gaiden and the other 5 RGG games as well because I just don’t patience to sit through all the side stuff especially when some of them have minutes of text that im just not going to read. lol
I enjoyed Gaiden. If anything, after Infinite Wealth, I would prefer to see RGG to move on to something new.
I’m back in Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey! Took a long break for Starfield and then a bunch of smaller games from Game Pass to catch up on that backlog a bit but now it’s time for more adventures with Kassandra.
Elden Ring! Amazing game. I’m about 90% complete. Taking a small break from it. Finished Cocoon, excellent game design. Finished Injustice 2 story, will work in MK11 expansion story next. And finally started Forza Motorsport yesterday, so far the best looking and feeling racing game ever.
Me and friend are trying to finish Resident Evil 0 on my Xbox. I’m also currently playing Immortals of Aveum and The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me
Looking forward to getting Robocop of my partner for Christmas too
Dropped Immortals of Aveum about halfway through. Simply got bored of the game but also, I kept getting a pop message saying the game had to be fully installed in order to be played and im like, what? It is installed. Not only that but since I installed it, going from the Xbox logo to the home screen would take minutes and pressing the A button on any game tile or settings or my games wouldn’t go at all. Maybe it’s just a weird ass coincidence but either way, game is done and was uninstalled yesterday.
Anyway, im now playing Miasma Chronicles which is a turn based strategy RPG from The Bearded Ladies who developed Mutant Year Zero which I really enjoyed and Corruption 2029 which is exclusive to the Epic Games Store.
Played around 8 hours and im really enjoying Miasma. The writing/voice acting is meh but the game looks great and the combat system/gameplay is really good. At this point, just going through a few smaller games while waiting for Avatar on December 7th.
Currently going back and forth between Forza and GT7 (still can’t decide which I like more. They both have positives and negatives that counter each other).
Also playing Super Mario RPG. I want to jump into more Diablo and Halo too.
I got Jagged Alliance 3 on Series X last week and started the campaign. Captured the first town, then got wiped out in the next area, an enemy stronghold.
Went in with a team of 5 mercenaries and had to fight at least 14 enemies with machine guns, sniper rifles etc while my team had a bunch of revolvers and missed most of their shots.
This game needs a proper tutorial, or I need to find some good guides online.
Also been playing Football Manager 24 on PC, won the Champions League with my fav club in 2031 so started a new save with Blackburn Rovers. Bring back some old glory.
And of course Slay the Spire, I finally beat Ascension level 17 with the Silent after literally 100s of tries in the past months, so now it’s the Defect’s turn to beat lvl 17. I bet that will be done faster, as the Silent is hardest for me on these high levels.
I finished it and I have to say the ending didnt quite land for me. It felt rushed (despite the game not being it) and not very interesting gameplay-wise, I agree with Nick there.
All in all an absolute masterpiece and my GOTY prolly.
I’m definitely in the minority when it comes to Alan Wake 2. Played 6+ hours, through a few chapters and dropped the game because it’s one of the slowest, dullest and most boring games I have ever played. I dropped the remaster about halfway through a year or two ago. Just not into Alan Wake at all. Game looks amazing but it’s very linear and corridor like so it should look amazing. Other than that, just meh.
On a related side note, since I bought the game digitally, I really wish that Microsoft would implement that trading in digital games for store credit or something like they talked about a decade ago. Even it was 25% trade in credit, that’s better than nothing. lol
Has anyone played Flashback 2 yet ? Would love that to take me back to the love of the original in a modern way. The original was a classic at the time
No, you are not. I like Alan Wake 2 but don’t like the stop and start nature switching of the game into the mind place and don’t like the lack of mini-map in-game as it’s very confusing where you need to go sometimes.
I enjoyed Alan Wake much better tbh and I bet if XBox had bought Remedy Alan Wake 2 would have gotten poor reviews LOL
Agree completely. And the investigation stuff is just taking the evidence and putting it everywhere on the board until the game “slides” it into place.
Yeah, I bet it sounded good in the pre-production phase of development but it just doesn’t work out in the final game. Its just too stop start and spoils the flow.
