What are you currently listening to?

I had to keep my lips sealed but I can talk about it now:

My brother is part of the musical collective (not a band) Crack Cloud and they have a song featured in the newest GTA V update!

And it’s relevant to this thread because I’ve been listening to it as nauseum for the past few months heh, as I’m looking to have it in my next game (band is ok with it but licensing it from the label is another matter).

Nice, I have heard Crack Cloud on Radio 6 Music in the UK.

In fact I remember someone who had been to Canada recommending them to the Legendary DJ Marc Riley.

I think they did a session for his show?

Edit: Yup they did in 2019.

This needs repeating, every hour, on the hour  I love Massive Attack.

My little one and I are stuck inside playing with a jigsaw and listening to “Protection” right now in fact, Tracy Thorn is fab, and the video for Protection was great as well.

Protection is my second favorite album of theirs; Tracy Thorn and Everything But the Girl, defined so much of my young life.

Same, and same. Mezzanine and Protection are so close. Major part of my growing up too, as well as Ninja Tune records. Soundtrack of youth.

You saw EBTG live? If so that would have been an awesome show I imagine. I saw Massive Attack at the Fox theater in Atlanta shortly after Heligoland came out. Was an incredible concert that was only marred by the fact that Martina Topley-Bird wasn’t there due to a family emergency with her mum :frowning:

Nope sorry, my bad with the quote I replied to. I saw Massive Attack.

Been listening to old emo music I may have missed back in the day.

We’re one in the same on that front. One of my favorite Massive Attack/Tracey Thorn tracks is their rendition of ‘The Hunter Gets Captured By The Game”. I think it was on Batman Forever’s soundtrack but I got it on one of their collections… it’s such an amazing track 90s Massive at their best.

Yeah! Aw I haven’t heard that for ages. A quick look in my digital library only shows the Marvelettes original (So I’m listening to that). I’m almost 100% sure I have the Batman Forever soundtrack still on minidisc since I copied my friends album just for that track.

Been listening to a lot of Radiohead recently.

I really enjoy the Basement version The King of Limbs. Wasn’t all big on the studio version, so I kinda underestimated the live versions.

Listening to this now… On loop. When I close my eyes, I am back in my bed with the curtains open after a smoke watching the stars and listening on my Minidisc.

I love how music transports you.

The talk about Massive Attack has got me remembering this video, which is one of their best tunes put to images from the movie The Fall. Always thought it worked very well.
