Just jumped back in since the latest patch hit Windows Store recently. Load times are definitely improved, so much better now.
Anyone beat it on supreme jerk? If so any tips for what squad you used?
I wrapped up my playthrough, yesterday. Technical issues aside, Wasteland 3 greatly exceeded my relatively reserved expectations.
I was probably most surprised by how much I enjoyed the team building and tactical combat aspects of the game; going in, I thought the game would live and die solely by the quality of its story and worldbuilding. On the default difficulty (Wastelander), I thought the game provided just enough challenge to force me to actually give some thought to my teamās makeup. I was really pleased with how my team turned out, by the end of the game, as I was essentially prepared for any and all situations (including dialogue).
All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed playing through my introduction to inXile and the Wasteland series; I look forward to seeing what comes next.
(Also, it should be pointed out that its entirely possible I wouldnāt have convinced myself to give this title a chance, without its inclusion on Game Pass. The frictionless experience of Game Pass is awesome.)
Just finished myself today, and Iāve been playing since release day. The combat style in this game is my favorite type, so when you combine that with the writing the characters and the real consequences for the choices you make, for me it my GOTG and somewhere in-between 5 and 10 for me all time.
The crashes were maddening, but it was worth the headache. I know that it isnāt really their MO, but if the next inXile game has party interaction, banner, and world reactivity in the way that an Obsidian or a classic Bioware game does, then it can challenge for a spot on my Rushmore even if the gameplay style may be something different.
Any news of this game getting a Series X/S patch?
I doubt it will happen. In any case, the game already runs better and loads quicker if installed on the internal SSD from what Iāve experienced.
They told me no plans for now.
Bummer. First playthrough was on PC and it ran very well. Thereās an update coming out soon, might check it out on Series X once thatās landed.
Iāve played a good amount on PC but now taking a step back hoping for a Series X optimized update. Game is so freaking goodā¦but man it deserves an update.
This game has been geting frequently updated. Iād so much love DLC this year!
People who enjoy these kinds of games and havenāt played this yet are going be in for an really incredible experience now, IMO. This game was my game of the last generation without all this goodness. Also, unfortunately I donāt think that any DLC is coming out for this game. I think that they are locked in on working on their new games in terms of new story content. Iād love to be wrong though.

I took a break from this game because the load times were so bad on XOX and it was buggy. Might be time to jump back in and finish it up.
Theyāve made a ton of improvements with the recents patches, not only in terms of bug fixes, but also balance and adding different difficulty modes. Although I havenāt tried these improvements myself. You can also wait for their next patch if you have more to play:
The Battle of Steeltown will come shortly after the release of Patch 1.4.0 which introduces some exciting new features.

Iām beyond ecstatic to be be getting two expansions for this game. Some time in 2022 or later some random person who likes these kinds of games but hasnāt played this one yet is going to play a polished and patched up version of this game with both DLCs without experiencing any of the issues that caused frustration and abandonment by some, and be absolutely blown away.
