The Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase - June 12th

so some of games shown im guessing will be:

2022:

Pentiment

Forza Motorsport

Grounded

Starfield

Redfall

Goldeneye

2023:

Avowed

Contraband

Project Belfry

Also my guess is CGI trailer for Inxile’s game as a closer

I wonder how many CGI we will have this year. We should not have that many as there are a lot of games that should have gameplay at this point. For some announcements, I think CGI is still possible, but at the same time they can always announce it via blogpost or whatever.

What do you think they will be able to show on the japanase side? The only ones whoe comes to my mind are persona and maybe FF7R. Hope they surprise us in this aspect.

I don’t think that someone from MS would have said this, it was probably one of the journos/Podcasters who cover MS that said it.

Normal players are still fine with CGI, it’s only hardcore types who melt down about them. There will still be a fair amount of CGI despite the protests of folks on forums and Twitter.

I don’t know, I’m pretty hardcore and I enjoy CGI trailers. I understand their role in things and appreciate them.

The people who whine about “where’s muh gameplay” are simply professional whiners. It’s what they do.

I think it’s too soon for Goldeneye, I feel like that’s a game that is still 2-3 years out

Goldeneye he probably implied that rumored remaster.

But if It is that IO game…I am not sure.

Would be awesome if Indy shows up:

Announce it with PC & Xbox only platforms and get a meltdown from people claiming that Indiana Jones IP should be multiplatform (forgetting about Spider Man).

Though I do wonder if it is gonna multiplatform or not  I personally think it should not be.

They can have Indy when we get Spider-Man and Wolverine so yeah…

But don’t forget that Microsoft does not work to annoy their customers (aka Sony). Though I think with Spider-man & Wolverine being exclusive, it is just fair for Microsoft to make Indiana Jones & 007 game from IO exclusive.

I mean, making Indy multiplat would annoy their actual customers so…

It’s going to be Xbox/PC exclusive as it should be. If it was going to be multi-platform, they would have said so over a year ago during the reveal and Sony’s PlayStation Twitter and YouTube accounts would have re-tweeted it and shown the trailer for it respectively.

I don’t understand, they’ll already be able to play on their PCs

From my understanding a lot of Xbox “customers” (even here) are fine if the game is multiplatform (or launch in Game Pass) as long as it does not skip Xbox at all.

But Sony is Microsoft (big Microsoft) customer and just like Amazon with Disney & Netflix, they don’t annoy their customers.

That 3rd image makes me want it in third-person.

Well, that’s also fair as Playstation Youtube and Twitter are very active in posting the videos of games (unlike Xbox Youtube channel for example)

And it should be. We need to see that legendary hat during gameplay. Also 3rd person provides bigger field of view in the surrounding which is good for exposition of various ruins. Horse riding also looks good in 3rd person.

I’d be lying if I said I’m sure but I remember thinking that’s strange for an employee of ms to say, it wasn’t recently, I think it was shortly after 2021 E3 so I could remember incorrectly or I could have misunderstood at the time.

CG trailers are a bit tolerable if they are followed with devs explaining their ambitions or a few details about the games during the event.

Avowed/SoD3/Fable revealed during XGShowcase 2020 and that’s it. nothing more.

I think CGI trailers are enough for highly anticipated or legendary games. For some new games they are a no go.
