The Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase - June 12th

Might be possible that they give us a CG trailer of something like that just to give folks an idea of setting and what not to look forward to.

I don’t think we go the whole show without a new XGS announcement, even if it’s CG.

Yeah and it would also be for hiring purposes as well

Alright, its April but I’m on maximum hype mode right now. This E3 is going to be absolutely lit. There’s so much awesome content from their first party that’s targeting the next 16 months, this show is going to be absolutely PACKED!

There is not point to hype yourself right now as all E3 went through the same cycle over and over again. I wonder if we get the traditional “I heard that something was delayed or removed from the showcase” by Jez or Grubb just before the showcase…

Interesting that Microsoft should not have any cross gen games at this point. All the first party games they are gonna show will be next gen only I think.

As long as its not Starfield, I’m set!

gaming forums are so weird about being scared of “hype” anyway plenty will be shown considering the length of time games have been development and planned release schedules.

I have been on the temper expectations bandwagon for years. Not this time lol.

Might go full Prog if they disappoint

Nah sorry, I’m hyped and I’m very sure the show will be great. Last year I had high expectations and it delivered. 2020 removed from the context and specific expectations around that time honestly was also a very solid show outside of how underwhelmed many were by how Halo Infinite looked.

I’m expecting a BIG show this year, but at the same time I’d be fine if we got more of the same, it wouldn’t surprise me.

That will 100% happen and meltdowns will ensue.

The issue is that when it doesn’t live up to the expectations that some people set for themselves those folks can’t just express some disappointment and let it slide, instead the whole forum gets poisoned with gloom and doom for weeks.

I don’t get people trying to gatekeep being excited about one of the most exciting times of the year for the hobby we here all love. This is like “insert favorite holiday here” for all of us. Of course people are hyped, especially when Xbox has so much in development and has thrown themselves “all-in” on gaming. These ARE exciting times!

I miss when the industry concentrated all their effort in making E3 the biggest moment of the year for gamers. That week full of showcases from xbox, SONY, Nintendo, Square, Capcom, EA, Ubisoft…etc. Man miss those days.

I will be absolutely happy just by looking more about Starfield, Avowed, Forza M, Redfall, Belfry, Halo Update, Forza DLC and The pit update from fallout 76.

NOW, if /when the ABK deal is completed. I expect the following games in a SINGLE showcase in order to absolutely annihilate internet, so the following games WILL be in their 2026 event:

  • Call Of Duty: Black ops Remake.
  • Diablo IV big expansion
  • Banjo remake by toys for blob
  • Starcraft Ghost
  • Warcraft 4
  • Halo infinite…TWO!!
  • Avowed 2!!
  • Age of Empire VII
  • Other new Blizzard IP (Exclusif of course :3)
  • Halo Wars 3 ( HELLLL YEAHHH BABYYYY!!!)
  • Perfect Darker
  • Deus ex remake (by that time they will own Crystal and eidos duh)
  • Crash 5 and Spyro 4!!!
  • Gears of War 9 (yeah, they annualized the franchise just to spite the haters)
  • Age of Mythology 2
  • Happy We few 2
  • Forza Horizon Colombia
  • New Hitman game (IOI acquisition of course)
  • Psychonauts 3 BABYYYYY
  • Dishonored 3 and Prey 2
  • The lords of the ring game by Bethesda and TES VI… :3
  • Wolfenstein 3
  • Doom INMORTAL
    1. Overwatch 2.2
    1. Mandalorian game by the Coalition

And…out of nowhere…

  • BOOOOOMMMM FINAL FANTASY 7 REMAKE PART 7 EXCLUSIF TO XBOXXXXXXX!!!

Anything less than that and I will join Sony’s army. Sorry guys, suffering from Insomnia and just looking at things to waste my time.

I don’t think people are trying to gatekeep, it’s just a recommendation to keep expectations in check.

I personally have high hopes though.

Last year’s show was extremely weak for Japanese content showing (literally just Eiyuden Chronicle, and Scarlet Nexus again in the post-show).

So I expect 2x the standard amount to make up for it! :triumph:

E3 2018 was amazing for this. It had:

Sekiro reveal

Vesperia remaster reveal (which was a magical moment for me as Ring A Bell played and overwhelmed me with nostalgia)

DMC5 reveal (which made me scream “IT’S DEVIL MAY CRY!” while in voice chat with friends)

Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer (not my cup of tea but it’s something)

Jump Force reveal (garbage game but that’s not the point)

Nier Automata Xbox release

Maybe something else I missed.

I wonder if we will have a better idea about what third party games might appear on Xbox Showcase when we will be close to June. As by that time we will know about the schedule of Summer Game Mess and potentially separate third party showcases.

Didn’t someone from microsoft say “if you liked this years show, wait till you see 2022s show?” Don’t remember who or where but I’m sure I had read that somewhere. I mean for me even if it’s just on last years level I’ll be good, if it’s better or much better we’re golden.

Last year told me that what is in the showcase is not all, the presentation is really important as well. If they make a showcase as well structured as it was last year, I’m happy.
