I’m playing Like A Dragon Ishin, and I find it to be much more of an RPG than FFXVI is.
Death Stranding 2 is very likely, so is Silent Hill 2, maybe another trailer from FF7 Remake, TLOU 2 for PC or some GoW spin off could follow, they also had a big presence last year.
I’m also excited, last year was great, well last 3-4 years have been great overall, and since the event is growing up quickly, seems each year gets better (just have some game ready to be played during the awards and the boring speeches, Football Manager on my case ^^).
While i’d rather have new announcements for MS 1st party, or first gameplay for stuff like Perfect Dark or State of Decay, if they show a good gameplay trailer with some combat and a fixed date for Hellblade 2, that’ll be fine too, specially if the date is first half of 2024.
BTW i saw the player votes so far for GOTY and Hi Fi Rush is at 7th position, just behind the 6 officially nominated games for the press GOTY, ahead of some very big AAA’s, surprising tbh, i just gave them another vote
After what Bloober said I kinda don’t see a trailer happening for SH2 Remake.

One post to make TGA relevant.
I don’t really think it tells us much about that. A lot of people who enjoy Starfield does so quietly and far away from the loud online battlegrounds. Others, like me who loved the game and is talking about it online, doesn’t give geOff clicks and is not participating in that shit.
As for achievements, it says very little as well. I played like 150 hours before I beat the game for the first time.
If they had, I suspect the answer would be some variation of the point that the nomination in any category represents the consensus of 120 jury members spread across the globe.
And many (most?) of those jury members are not individuals, but made up of several people from a press outlet.
So we’re talking hundreds of members of the press who through their votes picked the nominees in the various categories.
Not saying their picks are unassailable, just saying that questioning Geoff on why or why not certain individual titles were nominated is pointless, as he doesn’t have the answer.
I hate to start going all hyped and all that, but this does make it sound like it won’t just be several Game Pass ads. We already know about BG3 getting its release date there. Maybe Perfect Dark? Ah well, no point in guessing.
Not gonna expect anything major until Greenberg starts hyping things.

Shinobi and now that place are hyping the event if you are an Xbox fan. How reliable is that website?
It depends on how much weight you put into the wording of the xbox newsletter which they are quoting from
Oh lol
So they are just repeating what Xbox said on emails? I thought they were insiders or something like that “important announcements” and “other xbox news” could very well be two different things though
Shinobi will probably never hype up Xbox news again after Resetera was dumping on him for overhyping an Xbox show few years ago lmao.
Remind me what happened then?
IIRC Shinobi hyped up an Xbox showcase (I think it was 2019 or 2020 ) and said everyone should definitely watch it.
People were dumping on him because the show included way too many third party games and very few first party. And most of the first party games were cinematic.
Sounds like 2020. I could be wrong. I wasn’t aware he did that. If only he called it for this year.
Microsoft sending out an email regarding The Game Awards is the first time they’ve done that since 2019 when they announced the Xbox Series X and showed Hellblade 2.
I’m going with Gears of War 6 reveal trailer, Perfect Dark gameplay teaser trailer and Indiana Jones gameplay trailer.
It would be pretty awesome if Microsoft was just like, we’ve had enough of this narrative that we dont offer cinematic action games with high-end graphics. Then proceeds to show off Gears 6, Hellblade 2, Indiana Jones, and Perfect Dark.
Peeps are just pointing out to an official news letter from xbox itself.
You guys call it over hyping?
The reason they’re inviting us to tune in to TGA is because they will have stuff to show on there. How big or significant they will be, I dunno, the wording definitely makes room for hype.
