I’m attending this one in person this year (flying in from Toronto). I was hoping to cheer on Starfield or Hi Fi but I fear they may be snubbed.

I hope MS brings some goods. I’ll get some predictions ready for the reveals. Just need a few mins!

Announcement Predictions:

  • Footage from a pre-announced XGS/Bethesda game (Hellblade 2, Indy, PD, etc.)
  • Dragon Age: Dreadwolf Footage and Release Window.
  • Project Suerte Revealed
  • Death Stranding 2 footage
  • Earthblade footage
  • Hades 2 release date
  • Splinter Cell Remake Trailer
  • Fallout TV Show Trailer
  • CoD MWIII Update
  • Among Us New Content
  • FFVII Rebirth Trailer
  • Wolverine footage
  • Alone in the Dark reveal
  • Something from Nintendo. Not sure if Switch 2 will be announced by then? Would they steal a page from MS’s book and announce it there? Idk, but I reckon they’ll bring something.
  • Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League footage
  • Borderlands Movie Trailer
  • Spyro 4 announce?

I have a feeling Xbox will skip again, but I hope not. It’s always cool to see some really cool new reveals or maybe first gameplay of a already announced game.

But I also really wonder about Capcom and that game that will sell millions and releasing March next year. It can only be RE or MH, and it’s not time for RE. Unless it’s another remake, like Code Veronica. But I don’t think that was on the leaked list a few years ago.

Honestly, I don’t mind and prefer if they focus on their own shows. However, this event will have the most eyes on it, so it’s not a bad idea to reveal something here and show more of it later on their own show

Maybe you should rush the stage wearing Xbox Era merch. Pretend to be a developer winning an award. Obligatory Bill Clinton shout out. You know the drill.

Yeah, not gonna watch that live, I’ll see it when they get posted. Just like the show itself, for years I watched that live which basically meant sacrificing a good sleep, because around the time it was over I was over my sleep, lol.

So not worth it.

My prediction -

  1. Alan Wake II
  2. Baldur’s Gate III
  3. Marvel’s Spider Man 2
  4. Starfield
  5. Super Mario Bros. Wonder
  6. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

These tickets cost $200 US for an unubstructed view just to watch Starfield get snubbed. JFC.

Oh well, I’m going at any rate.

That’s insane. I’ll be watching online like I usually do.

Yeah the show is mostly a time waste to me, what’s interesting is annoucnemts and trailers/gameplay which I check when I wake up in summarized articles, I hope there’s good Xbox & Game Pass presence :+1:

200?!!! What tha fuck.

Hope so too. They had nothing last year, but perhaps that was because they just didn’t have anything to show either. Maybe wanted to keep that for their own show.

My prediction for goty nominations hasn’t changed from when I posted it a while back (iirc):

  1. Alan Wake 2 (possible dark horse winner)
  2. Zelda ToTK (most likely winner)
  3. BG3 (runner up)
  4. Sea of Stars or Cocoon for the indie slot
  5. FF16
  6. Armored Core 6

Nominees will be announced via live stream in just over half an hour from this post, meaning 2023-11-13T17:00:00Z and you can view it here:

I’ll be back afterwards with a list of nominees.

People on Twitter truly enjoying the possibility that Starfield might not be nominated for GOTY. It’s truly just sad and pathetic. I wouldn’t be shocked if it doesn’t get nominated, solely because of how all over the place reviews overall are. No idea how much importance reviews play in these nominations, but…yeah.

I don’t see it getting nominated, but would suck if both that game and Hi-FI Rush miss out.

I feel like a remake of a game shouldn’t be in there, but hey.

It’s clear that reviews absolutely do matter, a lot. Personally I feel that SM2 got overrated big time anyway. Ah well.
