The Game Awards is introducing a new list called Future Class, which “recognizes individuals around the world who represent the bright, bold and inclusive future for video games. We’re looking for creatives in the video game industry, content creators, esports players and more”
You can submit someone you think should be included on the list with this link: tgafutureclass.com
Yeah, you’re right. I was checking wrong. Back in 2015 they got several nominations for Ori, Forza 6, and Halo 5. Horizon 3, Motorsport 7, and Horizon 4 all won best sports/racing game.
It looks great on XB1X on Series X it looks insane, the HDR on that game with my inky black oled and the super colourful of some of the areas is stunning! The soundtrack too arghh so bloody good.
Haven’t tried it on Series X yet. I should really give it a try soon with the 6K mode. And yeah, the soundtrack is pretty damn great. So glad they got Gareth Coker for Halo: Infinite, can’t wait to see what he creates for the game.
So Sea of Thieves missing for ongoing game, community support, and accessibility?
Missing a game that had monthly updates, insider testing program, takes community feedback, does contests, active on Twitter, does twitch drops/giveaways, has a community content creator/partner program, plays weekly on twitch with partners, did weekly dev updates until COVID happened, introduced events, expanded their accessibility options to include: single stick, auto float, auto forward, etc, etc, etc.
The show is fantastic for announcements, but is People’s Choice tier when it comes to awards prestige. You see the same paint by numbers 3rd person action adventures on the list every year. It’s like if all the best picture nominees were Marvel films. I, for one, am sick to death of the template.
ngl a lot of the card games have insane cinematics and amazing trailers until they reveal the actual game midway and it looks like shit, I mean just from an art direction and design perspective, not necessarily the gameplay itself.
