Can confirm Palworld is good things
I mean I’m keeping things open, I don’t think about it one way or the other anymore, but “who knows”, nothing more nothing less. Not committing on whatever side, just being neutral. I don’t want to open the can of worms again with y’all so let’s end it at that.
Being neutral is a good mindset. In the end we all can speculate so it’s fine.
I can confirm Xbox is going 3rd party. My uncle, who works at Nintendo (Nintendo of America for those who are well versed in the matter) told me that he has played an early build of Hi Fi Rush on Switch 2 (it’s actually going to be called the Switch U) and that Phil Spencer had confirmed in person but asked him keep it secret.
Time to sell your Xboxes!
Going by today’s Xbox Two, I see Jez isn’t at all interested in stemming the FUD tide when it comes to MS going “third party”. Sucks that this conversation will never go away. I mean yeah they pretty much are third party now and we know most if not all of their ABK stuff will likely stay multiplatform but people still want to entertain the idea that all of their games are going multiplatform including so called “xbox podcasts” It’s a shame really that after such a good showing with the Dev Direct fans will have to deal with this shit, and it’s going to get worse when the June Showcase drops I can see it now.
Jez has had bad takes for years now. Indy multiplatform? Nope. Blade? Nope.
Who said most ABK would stay multiplatform? Jim Ryan gave that up for 5 more years of CoD.
I doubt we’ll ever see Sea of Thieves on Playstation or Switch…if Microsoft wants to boost its numbers they will just stick it on Game Pass Core. Theres another 10 million users and 1 more reason your lowest tier is better then the rest.
The only thing i’ll entertain as potentially happening is Hi Fi Rush on Switch 2. Why? So Microsoft can keep acquiring publishers. “Case by case” basis right?
Ever since ABK the Xbox podcast community, influencers, or whatever we can call it, has become so damn focused on the business side of things, and it’s boring af.
What happened to playing and talking about video games?
Its not just the Xbox community. The playstation community doesnt stop talking about xbox business.
I don’t really follow any PS oriented casts, but they do seem to have a weird obsession with Xbox in general yeah.
People still do that?
I’m not sure about a lot of these people to be honest.
They got nothing else to talk about, we just saw 3 goty contenders WITHOUT anything ABK related and 3 more big shows in the year to go and we are still in Jan. All they can talk about is hardware sales and Xbox gossip.
Time to enjoy xbox and ignore that crap
I think the gaming community in general needs to come to terms that MS doesn’t operate like Sony does. Sony is somewhat locked into this rigid way of doing things that has worked very well in the past. That would be creating or buying exclusive content to bring people into their ecosystem and try to monopolize the market. After that they could sell accessories, subscriptions, etc… to make their profits. Consoles would be sold at a loss to begin with and eventually at a profit as manufacturing costs come down.
MS tried to do that too, but they had the PC (Windows) market to manage too. They really couldn’t make exclusive games and not support the PC also. More accurately they couldn’t act to purposely harm the PC market like Sony was doing. That was the whole point of creating the Xbox, to stop Sony from potentially killing the PC market.
Today Sony is kinda stuck with a dying strategy. Console components don’t scale like they used to where advancements in processors/chip happen so quickly they can go from consoles sold at a loss to a profit in a couple years due to die shrinks. AAA exclusive showcase games cost hundred of millions to make with teams in the thousands. It’s just not smart business to make them when GASS games can make billions if you put it on enough platforms.
MS on the other hand is positioned to basically do whatever the heck they want. If they need to make a AAA exclusive they can do that. If they need to put games on other platforms they can do it. Mobile games…covered, PC…covered, GAAS…covered, subscription…covered, hardware…covered.
It’s quite simple, MS is thinking 10 steps ahead so they can pivot to whatever strategy they need to. Don’t confuse MS IS going third party with MS CAN go third party if needed.
That’s how he makes a living. He needs the revenue from these rumors. Gamers must stop reading into anything that openly violates the fundations of journalism. These twitter clowns were never, ever well intentioned.
I do agree with you . But if I was gonna give him the benefit of the doubt.
It maybe just him hearing mixed messages but the way he was talking. Or as you mentioned just got to feed that cso for his articles.
That new rumor is the answer to Palworld
From what jez said it does sound like SOME games will be multiplat. I don’t like that but maybe it’s all the live service games, to me it a huge mistake.
I can easily see people (including me) leaving the Xbox ecosystem the start of next gen because of it. You’d just take the gamble of will it come to PS.
Don’t listen to him. He’s making money out of your credulity. Trust professionals instead. This website is a great start.
True very true. I’m getting very tired of hearing it now. If it happens then I think it should be a big conversation but until then I’m tired.
He said if they do go with the plan, it won’t be all exclusive. Key word: If. No one knows if this plan will go through or not. Whatever happens, happens. Best to simply wait and see. We can speculate here but don’t act like it’s a sure thing. It’s only a possibility.
