I unfortunately think that Microsoft and Xbox in this case won’t be as definitive as many fans would like simply because of where the company is at. Being either the most or second most valuable company on the planet paints a massive bullseye on their backs. Regulators are after big tech like never before both in the US and throughout Europe and the statements I’m seeing from them all are very grey area so as not to bite them further down the road.

No… they never do, because it’s not about logic or reacting to situations based on fact, it’s about how much noise you can make and how much you can throw a tantrum that people can jump behind (for all the same reasons).

Of course it happens right after a positively received Xbox event. How do people not see through these things?
I do believe Xbox will continue to explore how they reach the most gamers possible and be the top publisher in the industry, but people are taking it way too far.

its on GamingLeaksAndRumours reddit, its a discord screenshot of someone saying Xbox is going fully multiplatform and they’re licensing out their console to 3rd party manufacturers next generation. They made sure they added extra doom to this one, I guess cause the show was really good yesterday and all.

Ok… regarding this rumour (because it worried me yesterday), let’s break it down.
The cases for its existence are it was pre direct, it said Indy was first and third person and that Indy was modeled after Ford but voiced by Baker.

Is this person legit? I don’t fucking know them. But this is also something I promise you at least 60% of us could come up with these talking points the spot. I would’ve told you all of this except that Ingruber was Indy. Doesn’t mean I know executive level content strategies.

Just think about it. They leaked the information about Baker right before the show and it’s likely that a lot of people knew the stuff from the Xbox DD right before the show starts.
Even credible leakers never said that Microsoft is going full multiplatform. The talk was always about potential porting older and/or smaller games to other platform.
And why should Microsoft fight 2 years against regulators when they could have said we’re going multiplatform anyway.

Don’t believe someone with a anime avatar, most of the time they are full of sh*t. At least Nate, in my opinion, has a decent track record( even though he still gets things wrong like most “insiders”). I honestly begin to believe what others said in here that there are a group of people that is intentionally spreading FUD, for reasons that we do know about lol.

As far as I am concerned, there’s absolutely no evidence to suggest Xbox is going third-party; in fact, there are direct statements from Phil Spencer confirming they’re not going third-party and Game Pass isn’t coming to Switch/PS5, and plenty of other financial/technical incentives that make the point even more ludicrous. That should be the end of it, but to further put the final nail in the coffin - we have double-confirmation from Sony (CEO and leaked documents) that they’re literally following the same template that Xbox put in place five years ago, yet it’s weird that we haven’t seen the same articles or garbage from wannabe insiders.
This garbage needs to stop and I really wish people would adhere to the “mitigation of outside drama” rule…

If this is about Xbox going third party… it’s been confirmed false by Phil Spencer and actual journalists, so no we don’t need to be in waiting mode. This just reads like part of the problem with society as a whole - thing is disproven but the lie spreads faster than the truth, and instead of adapting your worldview when the truth disproves the lie, you still entertain the falsehood.
It tells me that people falling in line with that thinking don’t want the truth… we aren’t like those other sites/communities, fair warning.
