Anyway the maliciousness of many (too many) apparently respectable industry personalities is the main issue. They collectively want the Xbox demise, because they don’t want to bother with it and I’d say they are annoyed by the changing landscape. It remains a big issue, because the internet discourse impacts very much, even casual perception and spending habits.
This whole topic/ordeal was born from the “discourse”, I mean, there is no actual info, only vague rumours based on things which “may change”. Come on.

It works like this.
People Google Starfield. What does google show them? Well the last time it showed a bunch of links, and the person clicked one that said STARFIELD BAD!!! XDDDDD
So It decides to show a bunch of other links that say the same thing.
Now when someone googles starfield, all those articles are bumped to the top, so companies optimize for this by putting STARFUELD BAD!!! In every article, because that’s all google shows people.
It’s like the Family guy clip where everyone claps when Lois says “9/11… Bad!”

Yeah, following the Xbox commentary is bizarre. Klobrille said he has a hunch Avowed will slip to 2025 and now everybody keeps parroting the game will be delayed.

2022-23 have been two hard years for xbox community: between 2022 devoid of 1st party releases and 2023 with mixed results and the concurrent ABK ordeal, many people are ready to believe even imaginary signs of MS abandoning posts (which make no sense as I already said), add also past Xbox mistakes about messagging and you have the perfect “concern” recipe. The only cure is doubling down on Xbox and I think also aggressive moves, we’ll see mext week the first step of 2024.

Didn’t Grubb say he heard that Sea of Thieves going multiplat was being considered? He wasn’t speculating about what he heard because that doesn’t make sense.
The speculation that people are confusing as a rumor from Grubb recently is what he said about a possible Nintendo Direct and State of Play.
Does Grubb still write news articles? He’s at GiantBomb now. Jez is the one who says that if his rumor isn’t in an article that it was just speculation.
Please get back to me if I missed something because I would like to know as someone who listens to a lot of Grubb’s podcasts.

I didn’t even think of what something like this would do to Gamepass. If xbox exclusives start going to other platforms, it doesn’t just hurt the brand, it hurts Gamepass as well. Why sub to Gamepass if there’s a possibility that the next big game could come to your platform that isn’t xbox or Gamepass??
Why aren’t they clearing this crap up? Who wants to listen to all the port begging with every release? I for one won’t if this is true. I’ll just go another route.

The game deserved the criticism it received performance wise at launch, but damn that definitive edition release was super solid. Loved my time with it.

The platforming in Recore is still among the best IMO. I would love to see a sequel that leans into it even more. Hell the game already had a dungeon type set up where most of the action took place. The could go full on “Megaman Legends” with the sequel and have full towns.
I have to give it to Jez and Rand on the subject of Xbox putting their games on other console in particular them calling out the bad faith argument many use on places like Twatter and even here from certain folk. “Well more people would be able to play the game” and trying to console label anyone who disagrees as a console warrior. It’s a disingenous way of dismissing people and I am glad they called it out as such.
