Either people change or color gets exposed. I guess ever since the podcast with Dealer stopped, there’s no platform to get a second outlook, so this might have resulted.
Yeah, good point.
But it’s possible that in Tim’s case he truly is a new PS5 owner. Saw a interaction between him and Colt that Colt had told him for a long time now he’s missing out on good games and that he just didn’t listen because he was stubborn.
I do get enthusiasm, but folks acting as if a life changing event has happened to them. Calm tf down
Hey he is a customer and he can spend his money wherever he wants. I guess he was friends with Xbox executives and he defended them to Xbox fans and he feels betrayed and foolish by their multiplatform strategy. Microsoft is a trillion dollar company they will do things we don’t understand.
He has had one for years. I’m not sure why people are talking about him?
Really? So he’s flat out lying and acting as if he’s just gotten himself one? Damn.
It feels like he’s doing it for engagement. However, many are at fault for making this guy have weight to his name. I stand by stance that Microsoft were dumb to create parasocial relationship with fans and to give guys like Timdog a platform.
blue check babble
It absolutely is, I mean, why else act this way?
Don’t really care about TimDog lol. He is a normal person like any of us and any person on twitter. People gonna do stuff that makes no sense
Fun fact: “Klobrille” is a German colloquialism for toilet seat.
Expectations and such…
I thought this was a thread to discuss actual third party stuff from Xbox, not a person’s state of mind on a social media site that misses more than it hits.
Also its clear Klobrille is joking if you look at the conversations in the tweet.
And you’re gonna see less and less people buy the Xbox console at that point. Gonna be interesting to see what they do once they relize the multiplat strat leads to less gamepass and console growth which are the big drivers of revenue for xbox
If only they had you working there for this amazing insight that they somehow have never thought of
Only if people have a desire to burn their own money by skipping the subscription service and opting to purchase every single game instead.
I’m not sure it should be dismissed like that. For some there might be a tipping point where having both systems no longer makes sense financially.
The cost of an Xbox, sub fee for Game Pass and all the other things like accessories that comes with a system can buy a lot of games. Especially if you wait a bit and don’t have a need to jump on everything day one.
It’s still a feedback loop, they are not going to take the data received from these four games and move towards a fixed strategy. They will continue to collect data and change the strategy accordingly.
People need to stop grasping at the console straws.
All three manufacturers are selling less devices than in previous generations, because it’s an outdated system that’s going to implode sooner rather than later.
Personally, I appreciate that MS is at least trying to do something about it. I expect a more pc-like “console” strategy next gen.
This is my feeling as well. Once Microsoft ports their first party games to PlayStation day one, it’s not like im going to care about every game they release so saving $500+ on the console can then be used to buy their games on PlayStation and have everything on one console platform.
Also, imagine if Microsoft/Sony reach a deal for Game Pass to go on PlayStation in the future. At this point, nothing Microsoft/Sony does surprises me anymore.
I doubt the Series consoles are going to sell huge numbers between now and next generation, except for when discounted heavily or if they do something different like a Series S handheld (although I’ve no doubt Xbox will push their marketing with CoD that might help).
The truth is PS5 is way ahead already, and has marketing on some of the biggest games - Hogwarts Legacy last year, and GTA6 coming up - and it’s likely going to be the console of choice for casual gamers, but even then it’s probably not going to reach PS4 numbers in the same way it doesn’t seem like the Series will reach the One.
But the Series already has a large enough install base to keep Game Pass and games coming for it regardless of any multi-platform strategy - it’s the next generation where the difference might show, and that’s where the PC stores, handheld version etc all come into play, and that’s where it gets interesting as every player may be doing something unique…
