Microsoft is a 3 trillion dollar company. the gears collection should come out and only for xbox and pc because its good for the brand and a healthy brand brings in people who spend money. when your putting stuff on other consoles it damages the brand and people spend less money. I know lots of people who have moved to buying most third party games on xbox because they dont like the direction xbox is going. thats money xbox wont get now. is the influx of people who buy the games on other platforms worth it? who knows. I dont think it is but I dont work for them. if your not gonna make games that are for your fanbase because they arn’t going to make a bunch of money day one just go third party completely because your not totally in the game at that point. I think it was nick or Jez who said sony has there finger on the pulse ofthe industry. They know what fans want and they give it to them and xbox doesnt think like that and thats why xbox brand is in the position it is IMO

It’s the frustrating part. We rarely know enough to understand why certain choices are made.
I feel like MS knows what I want because I’ve had 0 reasons so far to buy a PlayStation console since the PS3 but I’ve owned all Xbox systems since. I actually feel more comfortable right now buying 3rd party releases on Xbox and knowing I’ll have access in the long term than I would be on a PlayStation system to be honest.
Thats a good point. Years from now whatever game you buy today on xbox you know will still be there upgrades and all. You cant say the same with playstation or nintendo
I think it’d be pretty crazy if they couldn’t justify that without PlayStation. We’re talking about one of the biggest Xbox franchises ever.

Right but those games came out 2 years ago when cross-gen was still being done by a lot of people. It just doesn’t sound good if they couldn’t justify a collection of some of the biggest and most impactful games in their platforms history without PlayStation being included.
Also I’m not saying they should or shouldn’t just that they should be able to justify a Gears of War collection with just Xbox and PC if that’s the direction they wanted to go in.
Right now the top engagement is to take what other people say carry it on as your own and pretend you know something new about it. I’m just going to ignore most of it like I always do.

Order 66 is a Star Wars reference where the clones (Xbox games) turned sides (Playstation) to kill all the Jedi (Xbox brand/community), suggesting Xbox multiplatform plans will do the same to the brand.
Ah, well I doubt Microsoft will change their minds once they decide what they’ll do after releasing those 4 games. If they decide going full or continue with their limited 3rd party, we will be seeing more games over the next couple years going multiplat on consoles.

I do however wonder if Xbox fans did group together like Helldivers 2 did whether Xbox would reverse direct (they have done it many times before).
