Well they are already doing that for a lot of games along with Game Pass. I’m assuming if the MS PC Store and the Xbox Store will become one if there is no unique hardware.
If you go on a case by case basis then rumors about every game will kill the brand anyhow, as we have seen the last few months. It’s over even if they pivot tonight and tell us that these rumors are false.

Yeah i think the same thing. In a few years most people will be able to download games and play natively on our phones and cast them to our tv’s. Casuals won’t pay for a $500 box if they don’t have to. Maybe MS is like hey lets get all our games in other platforms so they grow a bigger audience. Then in a few years instead of buying a PS6 or the next Xbox, casuals will just download the Game Pass app. Forward thinking. Just speculating.

Someone mentioned that the Russia Microsoft hack was the original source for it, don’t remember who said it or if it’s true.
That is true - even if one or two games are ported, many will see this as Xbox giving up and going third party. At least, that’s what this rumor sounds like. Not sure if it’s over though.
I bet many people already started selling their Xbox, and this is all based on rumors. Crazy.
But it still sounds so surreal, it’s crazy how they managed to botch the brand and they still refuse to simply explain the plan for the near future. They’re not obligated to do so, but they have a user base to maintain.

Dear Xbox Fans, could we please stop overreacting? Isn’t that was obvious?
Since day one of Bethesda acquisition they were saying: “case by case”. It’s not their fault that some of you live in a Twitter bubble of copium. Bethesda and ABK were independent publishers with big expenses. They have to pay 3+ billions per year only to keep running two new publishers. Killing sales on Xbox, thanks to Game Pass model and cutting sales on PC won’t work for future of Xbox and MS.
XGS have 13 studios with multiple projects, plus all 1st party timed exclusives from Bethesda with exclusive cosmetics and marketing for them, plus 2nd and 3rd party exclusives. And all of that will have the biggest selling point of modern gaming, for me, at least - Game Pass. If that’s not enough for you to keep Xbox and be excited about future of the platform than get rid of it. “Grass is greener on the other side”
But I have to agree with you. Xbox need better marketing, localization, visibility of Game Pass benefits, etc.

They said where gamepass exists… and that Bethesda was about delivering exclusives, specifically clarifying not timed.
Yet here we are with xboxera reporting Starfield is getting ported.

An app is the only thing that makes sense, but why make enemies of your most fervent supporters over a few hundred million in the run up to that?
Well based on what Timdog is saying( whether you believe him or not) Call of Duty might not be on game pass, I don’t think that gamepass killer app is gonna workout. They probably just gonna be a big publisher like ABK was.

I guess we are in the part were suddenly everyone post that they’ve heard things some time ago but now that things are blowing up I have to share them!
So far the only thing 100% confirmed is that Xbox games will start releasing in other paltforms and that it seems Xbox hardware will continue in some way, the rest is just fanboy (of either side) noise.
I think its suppossed to be ‘what a day’ type deal
