I love and appreciate you all, but I need to get back to work on reviews for the site. Please, take a breath, relax, and don’t get too emotional. I understand the worry about the future of the console some of you have, but please do not insult industry people or people here no matter how you feel. Be good to each other.
Yeah, I’m not convinced by this move from any point of view, I can’t believe Tango would get shutdown for not recovering costs, the shadowdrop was their (ms) idea, so it’s not for money whatsoever.
Also SoT would be even worse news, people dismiss it to downscale the issue, but it’s the biggest succes from Rare under Xbox tenure, since 20+ years ago, there is not much more Xbox-related out there.
I think 115-130 million is the ballpark for it unless something big happens, maybe Xbox makes their own handheld and that disrupts the Switch market share? Who knows.
If SOT ps (and I hope ninty) port has been worked since January 2023 I wonder why nothing of that leaked? Why wasnt it mention by any party? Im curious about that.
In any case, we are close for this site to be called PCERA!!!
The reaction of the xbox community across the internet clearly demonstrates why phil, sara or anyone should adress this rumors in some kind of way. As I have been saying, I empathize with xbox fans in regards of the uncertainty surrounding the brand right now.
I guess they’ll go for the usual “when everybody plays, we all win” corpo stunt, that way media will bless the thing (they cannot wait) and Xbox fans would depicted as mean for complaining.
Man that would piss off even someone like me who only care about gamepass. I really hate the lack of transparency in anything and considering the situation they are in…yeah…
and people need to stop looking back at the 360 with rose tinted glasses, they were carried by the ps3 fucking up so badly and releasing a year earlier than them
I think Xbox has the right leadership because without Phil and Co., Xbox likely doesn’t exist anymore. Insinuating they need to go is definitely a little on the extreme side. With that said, they definitely make some head-scratching decisions, plenty of which I don’t agree with.
If it really sounded like that, I am sorry, that was not the point.
As for knowing nothing about the business; the main purpose of buying publishers was to made them exclusive. So by slowly becoming 3rd party, you can reach the conclusion that they failed and don’t know about their business either, and are trying to fix the situation.
