They should cancel wolverine now. Or at the very least do a complete rework. A fully playable PC build is out there I don’t think there is any saving this one. Needs to start again or be scrapped entirely.
The game isn’t supposed to come out until 2026, i can’t imagine the build is representative of the game in any meaningful way. It’s probably just a vertical slice or something.

I would hope so because what I’ve seen of it looks as boring and derivative as their Spiderman games. Insomniac peaked at Sunset Overdrive.

If they pay it, who’s to say it won’t be released anyway? Or they won’t just ask for more?
On the topic of delay, I think this may cause a minor one. And 100% this game won’t come to PC for a long ass time

PC release is in their contract with Marvel. I don’t think this will affect that.

The source code being leaked means this game could be cracked day one. I think they’ll put it out, but instead of 6 months after launch (SM 3 will be day one) It will be more like 2 years

Telling me Spider-man 2 cost $315m to make is like telling me porting Goldeneye to Xbox “only” cost $75m

Yeah 1.5 or 2years seems like it. SM3 might be Day 1 because of the Multiplayer Component.
I can understand journalist not providing a link to download. That will be legitimately bad, let alone leaking the info period. That said this is just downright madness.

How much of the build was actually leaked?
Was it just like a small slice or are we talking multiple levels?
I’ve been sceptical of Playstation’s approach for a while now but this is very eye opening
Spiderman 2 having 3x the budget of the first game is beyond absurd but Price not only talking about needing to get rid of people after each release and him questioning if people will even notice S2 has 3x the budget says a lot about these kind of budgets

Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2 is already a topic of discussion as the bar to be reached at Playstation Studios. Insomniac has reported that they want to achieve the same level of character realism and 4D photogrammetry and scanning as Hellblade for their future games including Wolverine.
according to Spider-Man 2 and the leaks that we have seen the game seems much too cartoonish in its faces, the colorimetry I also think that there is a lot of work to be done in terms of the animation and the look which is d 'a whole new level. I honestly don’t know if any Studio will be able to produce something as good or better than Ninja Theory.

I feel so bad for Tim Price and everyone at Insomniac. Having screenshots and info about your game leak is bad enough, but having entire playable levels of your game leak is just so f***ing gross.
I remember way back in the day Valve was almost finished with Half-Life 2 when the game’s source code was hacked and released. Valve, being who they are, decided to just start over and make an entirely new game. (Correction, this didn’t actually happen. The leak did, but Valve didn’t start over.)
Hackers suck, but gamers who rush to play stolen, unfinished games, also suck.
