Like I always was of the opinion that the game will rise or fall with the story and it seems it hitted the right nails.

Wouldn’t give Namco credit for ER tbh. Not from their owned studios. Its like giving Activision praise for having a GOTY winner in Sekiro 2 years ago. Tales and scarlett for sure though.
Tales of arise is officially the highest rated Tales game of all time as of now.
tbf to Bamco’s credit, Fromsoft has had a far longer and stronger relationship with them, as such this isn’t comparable to the Sekiro situation imo. Bamco published Dark Souls that put Fromsoft on the map. There must be comfort in Fromsoft seeking them with yet another IP, so I would give at least some credit for Bamco if Elden Ring succeeds, which at this point, I’m kinda confident it will.

Changing region to Japan doesn’t work. Just tried it.

I got uk version. I’m not bothered. It will unlock tomorrow evening regardless.

Must be specific versions.
Either way I’ll try again tomorrow and switch to the New Zealand Region. Game unlocks 5AM PST in New Zealand(Midnight Friday over there)
EDIT: So I’m hearing that Deluxe and UE won’t work with the Japan trick because Japan doesn’t have those version in the store and has the Added DLC as separate purchases.
Ah that’s why maybe. I was impatient to play it but now I have to fly to New Zealand…

It seem the game won’t have smart delivery in xbox traditional way instead we getting 2 physical disc and also 2 digital version if you but it digitally.
Guess we’ll see soon…

IDK but these hassles may confirm they rejected Xbox partnership for unknown reasons.
It’s weird cuz they had it for Scarlet Nexus. New IP so tried risking more there I guess.
Hey at this point ms should be glad the game isn’t skipping Xbox. We wouldn’t have heard the end of it from fanboys otherwise given the reception it’s getting.
