they can’t block crossplay between xbox and pc.
No but they can block PS and PC is they allow Xbox and PC.
Sony will do a lot of this shit. Look through those epic lawsuit details on what Sony do with this cross play stuff.
If that were the case I think Capcom would tell Sony to kick rocks and just have cross play be between PC and Xbox.
Ultimately, I think SF6 will have cross play support for all platforms like other popular multiplayer games.
SF6 might bea game they allow simply due to EVO and the fact that they have a monopoly on the tournament front. But right now if i was predicting…ill say its not cross play. Even though it should be.
I don’t think Sony that has much leverage over Capcom anymore to dictate stuff like this. There is literally no reason for Capcom even follow Sony here. Especially after Nintendo left EVO altogether.
I have always thinking that if necessary Microsoft + Nintendo could make their own tournaments. After all aside Guilty Gear, no other games are exclusive to Playstation. Leverage Azure, throw in Killer Instinct, Smash, Tekken, MK etc. Somebody should really come with gaming olympics. Microsoft literally has all the content necessary for that
- Starcraft / Warcraft
- Forza Motorsport
- Halo / COD
- KI / MK etc.
I wonder how SF would look if not held off by PS4 there. It is funny that the company that owns 50% of EVO failed to come up with a console that good at fighting games.
I have the idea that Microsoft should buy the rights to the E3 name and turn its branding into a tournament (as well as an annual show). The E3 name is bigger than the EVO name. Gamers have a universal attachment to the E3 name.
I was also thinking about that but the problem with E3 is that the organization behind it is not good. It kinda reminds me of FIFA in that regard.

It’s kinda unfortunate how much of this is leaking. There won’t be much to be surprised about once they officially reveal the leaked characters, besides seeing them in motion for the first time.
I wonder which top 3 company has problem with leak? Is Capcom the champion?
