Mature ratedâŚnice!!!
Looking forward to seeing more of Starfield at the Direct.
Hereâs a question for you guys -
Do you think that thereâs alien races in the game? Perhaps with 1000+ planets, they have alien races in the game.
And if so, would you reveal that if youâre Bethesda Game Studios OR do you let reviewers and players discover that on their own?
My answer is I hope so but not sure in regards to if thereâs alien races but if there is, I hope they keep it a secret so players can experience it themselves.
I think sentient aliens will be the macguffin device for the story.
Is this an update to what we heard earlier about the rating? I like what Iâm seeing.
Yes. Basically, itâs really going to happen.
Iâm not so sure. I think we will follow some sort of âAncientsâ mystery in the story though.
I am hoping they helped BGS out to get proper HDR in this game. Fallout 76 to my knowledge didnât have proper HDR, but I hope so so much Starfield has great HDR.
You can say what you want about Redfall, but Arkane nailed the HDR there, I love it. And if all else fails, why not go for auto HDR? Played Lego games last week, auto HDR is lovely in those.
Neither do i as long as the game delivers on other asepcts
Half the time in starfield ill be on my inventory screen anyway.
Slow paced games im fine with 30. The actual game matters. Im a space nerd. So give me that space nerd content.
Do you think it will have things like limb dismemberment, that we have in Fallout games? Or would the rating have said gore? You could say it falls under violence, but I have no idea about that.
I wouldnât mind it at all, but if not, there will at least be blood.
Some interesting Info from the ESRB rating for the game
Rating Summary
This is an open-world role-playing game in which players assume the role of a miner tasked with finding Artifacts across the galaxy. From first-/third-person perspectives, players interact with various characters, complete quests, and search for supplies while battling enemies (e.g., humans, robots, alien creatures). Players use futuristic guns, lasers, axes, and explosives to kill enemies. Combat is fast-paced, with frequent gunfire, cries of pain, and explosions. Attacks on some enemies can result in blood-splatter effects; several environments depict blood stains on the ground around corpses. The game contains some suggestive material in the dialogue, and after sharing a bed with characters (e.g., âLife is a sexually transmitted disease thatâs a hundred percent fatalâ; âIâm all for getting a little wild, but next time letâs try it without the jetpacksâ; âTalk about seeing stars, whew⌠that was amazing.â). A fictional drug (Aurora) is prominent in the game, with a section involving playersâ characters working in an illicit drug lab; players can also obtain Aurora by stealing or buying it from vendors (consuming Aurora results in a distortion effect on the screen). The words âf**kâ and âbullsh*tâ appear in the game.
"Life is a sexually transmitted disease thatâs a hundred percent fatalâ
My perspective towards life has changed completely
Lol
Axes? We got melee weapons up in this mofo? Alien creatures? Letâs goooooooo. Should be interesting to see if the hit reactions are a lot better now.
Blood splatters!!!

Me after playing Redfall:
âTalk about seeing stars, whew⌠that was amazing.â
Looks like a log book to record your adventures. Which⌠Honestly while not for me I can see the appeal of it. Makes you the captain of a star trek like experience.
Ooh, I suddenly need that.
About 15 minutes since it ended and I realized, I literally donât care if itâs 30 or 60, there is no reality where I donât sink 100 hours into this game first 2 weeks of release so what does it matter. Didnât look like 30 at all though.
I would not mind 30fps, I know I will love this game. Todd hasnât let me down ever. But I do hope it will be a locked 30fps most of the time, or give an option to let VRR do its magic. Framerate still wasnât as smooth as I was hoping, the other games during the show didnât have this problem.
But I have faith theyâll have that worked out on release.
