Probably lol. It remains pretty shit advise, especially since half of the main quest are pretty weak fetch stuff from a tunnel type stuff.

As I’ve gotten further into the game (still haven’t finished the story), I’m so glad I didn’t rush to NG+.

Same. I’m doing the main quest now, and I appreciate it a lot more I think since I’ve spent so much time in the game. When you have a connection to the world both events and revelations hit harder.

… upgrades. I had around 8 simple outposts collecting the ‘bulk’ type ingredients as it was a nightmare to only buy 5-10 at a time from a vendor. Occasionally I would go to the outposts, grab all 1000 resources and then bring them back to the Lodge and dump them there in the unlimited chest. With the spare resources you can essentially ‘swap’ them with a vendor by buying all his other misc materials and selling your bulk rubbish . By the time I got to NG my chest in the Lodge was better stocked then a 100 of the vendors combined (and free) . Alternatively if your not interested in crafting you can just create one good outpost (rare materials) and collect the minimum resources each time to sell at a vendor for easy cash (Neon is the best place to sell as there’s two shops which have over 10k).

Yeah, I mean I have built my own secret base etc, it’s fun don’t get me wrong. I would just enjoy having a reason to delve even deeper into it.

Ah sorry I misunderstood, all mine are basic bare bones (extractors, power & storage) so you’ve probably done more than me.

I haven’t built any actual bases (e.g. the habs etc) other than to progress the outpost skills and delete them.

I would really like to have missions for outposts. Like build X type of outpost on Y kind of planet with Z features. Give it a small story and it could be really fun.

How about fixing up existing outposts? A little bit like Fallout 4 in the sense that you have specific location that needs work. The possibilities are endless.

Damn, still no HDR fix. It’s taking them quite a while. But it is what it is.

I’m keeping HDR enabled myself, with a little settings tweaking on TV it looks better than SDR, especially light sources shine really bright with HDR.

I see people in the tweet saying they want a fix for the darkness, it’s often too dark they say. Wtf? If anything it’s too bright, or elevated, these black levels/areas.

Well if anything the game has been out 1 month and this will be the third patch. Plus they already gave a list of items they are working on. So the game is getting decent attention from the devs and we know what will be fixed soon.

Will be great though once HDR is fixed.

Ground crew? I had 2 Akila security walking around in their undies and they put their clothes back on 40 hours ago. The UC security in New Atlantis was only ever in her undies for like 2 hours.

You know what is astonishing to me is that there are loads of things in the game that you really don’t have to engage with at all, and I love that…

In Starfield, I’m approaching 80 hours and have uncovered what I think to be the main central mystery, but I’ve not engaged in so many elements, and the experience is better for it (to me).

• Not built an outpost
• Not done any crafting at any work benchs
• Not cooked a meal
• Not modded a weapon
• Not done any stealth missions (or missions that have stealth, i’ve blasted 'em)

It’s brilliant.

I love that. Especially when compared to what I’ve been up to.

It’s the one-two-three punch of building outposts, building ships, and plain old exploring that my completed quests tab and my playtime stats look like this:

And yeah, there’s been some crafting going on too. Whenever I find myself thinking I ought to start doing some proper questing, I never get far before I get sidetracked by some random event or a new ship or whatever.

One of these days I’ll make it up to the Eye…

Summary

Yeah it was brilliant. I did not see that coming either which is always nice. The whole do we sacrifice our home to get out there or not? was very thought provocing too. It also plays very well into the whole Starborn thing, which I have to add is also great. I can allready see just how NG+ will be setup and it’s awesome.

They also did a very good job with the immersive feeling of that NASA base. I had goosebumps hehe. Was allready convinced this game was a rare 10 but they actually managed to make the main story good too? Yeah, this is a GotG.

Looking forward to tackle Entangled tonight and see where it goes from there. I told both the Hunter and the Emissary to piss off so this will be interesting…
