I’m 20+ hours in and the loading isn’t bothering me at all. They are frequent, but are very quick.

Im playing on series x and used my phone to time the loading screens 10 seperate times and recorded the results. I have no idea how people were saying its 24 seconds, heres what i got:

Same here, longest one I’ve gotten was starting the game from the main menu and that one was 17 seconds but fast traveling has been quick, frequent loading screens for sure but quick with no time to read what the loading screen has due to how fast it is, I got the sense before playing myself and watching Matty’s video that I was about to play a last gen like game with frequent long loading screens all the time but it isn’t like that at all, they’re not an issue because they’re really fast.

I upgraded my weight lifting skill to carry more stuff i was at 170 then it dropped to 160 ? Shouldn’t it have went up ? I’m confused

seeing all these gameplay videos and wow. 4 more days for me. the early access wouldnt have been worth it due to me just being busy at work this weekend

Nah, I don’t agree with this at all and dislike that so many reviewers are pushing it.

It’s really lame that people are trying to push “one right way you HAVE to play”. Very contrary to the spirit of Bethesda games.

Top paid is updated because here in Canada the early edition addon is #1 and the premium edition is #6, which is insane when you see that the game is also on gamepass.

Sorry, that was more of a generalized comment towards the overall discussion about the game. A lot of people seem to have issues with things that have always been in BGS games.

Side note, what does everyone think of the Skill system? I definitely don’t hate it, but I do wish they had gone the Elder Scrolls route and make skill progression a bit more organic.

Also, I’ve spent like 3 hours now exploring one of the planets and it dawned on me that this one landing zone on one planet seems to encompass the same size of the entirety of Skyrim and may even be larger. There’s obviously less to do, but still, pretty crazy to think about.

New Atlantis is insane, it’s smooth even with all the different NPCs walking around and it looks great (Series X) the wait definitely paid off.

Can only imagine what ES6 will be like on next gen hardware 5 years from now.

Game will be huge, 230K players on Steam already is pretty crazy considering it costs 100$ and those numbers aren’t taking into account Xbox consoles and the Microsoft store players, probably safe to say that over 500K people have played the game by now.

Fallout 4 was 12 million in 2 days Cyberpunk was 13 million in one week GtA5 and RDR2 managed 17m in one week

I think theres a 99.9% chance, in player counts Starfield beats Fallout and Cyberpunk and a 70% chance it matches or exceeds the Rockstar brothers.

How do I transfer items in bulk? Fallout 76 let me do it but I can’t seem to figure it out in Starfield. I can’t imagine they took a step backwards.

ok, have a good solid 3 hours in. Yeah it’s “slow” and I’ve done a couple of stupid things like gotten myself very overburdened after completely loading up Vasco and also not realizing that I had locked myself into crouch and wondering why I was so slooooooow, but… I’m having an absolute blast. The game did crash on me just now, but I think it was my fault for trying to be running a bunch of stuff in the background & switching to that. This one does a lot for me that Skyrim never did. I do wish I had a few more digipick things, I have a feeling I’m going to be going through those quite quickly if I try to unlock everything.

This is proof that people still buy games even if it’s on gamepass. I won’t be shocked if it places top 3 of NPD sales for the month. I don’t think it will get top spot due to NBA 2K, but it will do good numbers.

Can only imagine what ES6 will be like on next gen hardware 5 years from now.

It will be interesting to see how Bethesda and ABK influence the design of the new Xbox too.

Perhaps they will change the storage solution to ensure seamless loading, maybe additional PCIe 4.0 lanes or a change to the M.2 2280 form factor.

I’m sure it’s something they are considering based on the ‘multiple loading screen’ comments.

(Before I get jumped I’m not saying it wouldn’t have had any less loading on PS5 as I know PC has had similar issues).
