Starfield |OT| You're Finally Awake... In Space!

Oof lmao.

lol discourse around this game is hilarious. When I get around to playing the game more I will do a lengthy writeup on how this game is superior to its ā€œcompetitorsā€ (mainly BG3 and CyberPunk 2077) in many, many ways. Maybe I’ll make a thread about it. And I’ll probably only respond to people who have beaten all three in said thread.

Now back to Starfield. :doge: (don’t reply to this post, please just wait until i do my comparisons)

does eating affect your mass?

There are definitely some of those kinds of posts here, but most of them are limited to very Playstation focussed communities.

I think there are a ton of extra options stuck behind a skill. Was also looking into it.

I found the best way is to pull the ship apart a bit, so move the landing pods away from the ship etc then add the bits you need and close it all up again.

Been looking over the physical skill block and I need a lot of points to invest into physical to make unarmed viable imo.

So I will start doing more side quest to get myself there, but I also need more points for other things like security, jet pack, persuasión, building.

So until I can get to my goal guns are a must.

I’ll never understand why some insist on comparing games with vastly different directions and goals, especially when they already have their mind made up before even completing the game.

We don’t need to punch down on the work of others to express what we like about games.

That’s the thing, though. I couldn’t figure out how to drag parts of the ship about. It’s like they’re all glued in place. I press X to enter shipbuilding mode, then I can select ship parts with RB (I think) and then I don’t know what to do next. None of the button prompts on screen let me move anything. Just delete.

There’s lots of building guides on the youtubes.

I feel like those quotes are from people who didn’t play the game, it’s a solid launch which none of those other games mentioned had. Just seems like the kind of quotes I would see in PlayStation centric communities lol.

Combat is really satisfying. I was scared that missing something like VATS would be a bad idea, but I was totally wrong.

Actually I finally figured it out. Press a when not selecting anything to add new modules. Works like a charm now lol

But I can’t drag the module to the ship and attach it. I click A to add a new module (cargo bay) and it creates it in its own space separate from the ship, and I can’t drag or slot it on anywhere. I’ll check Youtube like @Mort suggested because there must be something I’m missing.

Yeah I haven’t done much of it myself yet but it seems to be a lot to it.

You can click the module with a and it will drag until you click a again
