Little tip, you can automatically select planets for quests by pressing either show on map or set course and it’ll do it all for ya
I can see why you liked it in RDR2, at times it seemed to fit it, but the night time did not look great with it. Only time it looks proper dark is with SDR without having to lower any TV settings.
Speaking of night time, due to these raised black levels in Starfield, are the nights overly bright too or is it OK?
I mean it depends. I have an OLED but I quite like games that look a bit brighter. It like seeing stuff.
But it’s a personal preference.
Soldier; Extrovert, Freestar Collective, Terra Firma
Background:
- Cyber Runner
I just can’t stop being a stealth characters since Oblivion.
Traits:
- Raised Enlightened
Basically a zero downside trait.
- Hero Worshipped
Adoring Fan is a must have. I really don’t care if he’s not the optimal companion as a stealth character.
- Alien DNA
I don’t really need to heal when I’m going for stealth.
Yup, OLED here too.
I guess I favor realism, accuracy in games. So when caves and dungeons are overly bright such as AC Valhalla in HDR I really hate that. Horrible washed out HDR in that one too. It genuinely harms my enjoyment when visuals just don’t look proper because visuals really add to the experience and immersion.
Ah well, I’ll see for myself next week how it is.
It’s a shame DF didn’t mention it though because that is a great way to have the devs take notice. Remember when Titanfall 2 One X wasn’t up to par with PS4 Pro, DF mentioned it and it was fixed in no time.
What did I say!?..and no that wasn’t it, it was worse.
Background: Industrialist.
Mostly because I want to make a ton of money and party because it started with both lockpicking and persuasion. Skills I tend to use a lot in RPG’s.
Traits:
Adoring fan.
For the memes. Dude creeps the hell out of me lol.
Kid stuff. Because it seemed to be fun.
United colonies native. Because why would my industrialist want to live a. Underground b. On some derelict fishing platform or c. In some backwater mud heap. Gotta have some standards here
Game is really starting to click with me now. Was a bit overwhelmed at first, but I’m into the flow of things now.
Actually kind of reminded me of first starting Morrowind and Oblivion were I also felt overwhelmed at the start.
Morrowind had the worst tutorial ever. After creating your character you learn how to pick a lock, use a ring to cast magic and press J open Journal.
After that have fun running around and find a half naked crackhead in Balmora lmao.
Yeah, BGS got a lot better with this stuff starting with FO3, but Starfield is in a way a return to form with things being hella confusing. Just recently found out that you automatically lean behind cover when you aim down your weapon lol.
The music is so good.
Haha, all I see is:
-stealthily snuck into a hostile outpost
-THERE YOU ARE! HEEEELLLOOOO
-Chaos
Great to see so many varying backgrounds from ya’ll.
Bouncer, Kids Stuff, Neon Street Rat, Raised Enlighten.
Basically, my characters parents did their best to raise their kid in Neon as a good person. So they still have a good relationship, even if he isn’t the person exactly the person they tried to raise him to be.
Also this is basically my character
Kids stuff is such a cool trait. Love it.
Go to a place in New Atlantis called Enhance! They’ll let you change appearance.
You and the team here certainly deserve for this to be a career. It’s constantly made clear just how much work you all put into this. Very impressive work.
Finally going to be able to play Starfield. Today was a bit of a drag at work but now I have a week to get stuck in.
Really liking how big New Atlantis feels and how layered it is.
