They only had 2 days before BGS review embargo dropped for everyone. Sadly the way review content goes is if you’re not available immediately you wont get the views or engagement. It will be so low that it simply isnt worth it.

Funnily enough I preferred RDR2’s look before the fix and I think I quite like the faded look this hdr issue affords Starfield. Completely needs fixing but I hope they allow us to keep the old settings as they did for RDR2 as I personally think this suits the game massively. Completely get those who disagree. It does need fixing.

The fomo is getting to me :sob::sob:

Sheesh, even brighter? And some people already found that too bright and thought it was due to the game probably being filmed in HDR but shown in SDR was the reason for that. Most of the time in games I disable film grain too, but if it helps with decreasing a washed out image, in SDR too…or is it just too grainy?

It’s definitely a shame because in many games that make use of auto HDR it looks great. I’m a huge fan of how the Lego games look with HDR with the specular highlights. This doesn’t have that at all. As for RDR2, it’s never been fully fixed. The night is still way too bright with HDR in that game and you don’t get nearly as deep and beautiful colors as with SDR.

I’m genuinely blown away by the graphics and texture work. It’s the first game I’ve booted up on my XSX and been wowed! Feels next gen to me.

It’s a me, Cyber Runner Street Rat.

I’m in an abandoned mine in Cydonia and have been looking for a key for over an hour now, I’m losing it

What background and traits did ya’ll go with?

My character is an Explorer, looking for what’s out there?ā„¢

Went with Kids stuff, Freestar Collective and Wanted traits.

Basically an aspiring explorer who grew up in Freestar Collective space and got in some trouble totally not his own fault and had to run. Ended up as a poor duster in a remote mine…

A Cyber Runner that grew up on the neon filled streets. Making money where I can, taking out my enemies with stealth and a silenced pistol. Trying to find a purpose in life.

Nice. This was my other choice pretty much spot on… I’ll save that for another playthrough.

I went Cyber Runner with Kids stuff, Wanted and Hero Worshipped. Basically all I did so far is wandering around New Atlantis for 6+ hours doing side stuff and searching for lore and art. I absolutely love it!

This is a good talk about Starfield reviews. Parris Lily does not disagree with the disparity of scores and explains why.

It is a good listen for those still fuming with the ign score.

I think the game is a grower than a shower, and It make sense that those rushing or playing anxiously would have had a bad experience.

Im not sayin that Dan Stapleton is not biased against the game, probably he is. But the game can be easily seen in a negative way if you dont give it a chance or if you expect something else. So even if we believe that Dan was biased we must accept his review.
