Never said early access was free. I said people would play it free in game pass. So between that and early access the reviews don’t matter much. As people can just try it in game pass.
The guy behind Far Harbor (William Shen) is the lead quest designer in Starfield
The last time I got this hyped for a big Xbox game was Halo 3 after that incredible E3 2006 Finish the fight trailer.
Just hope the game goes gold soon and makes its street date
I’m seeing some people being very skeptical, like…i don’t doubt the game will be great, but it’s Bethesda, of course it’s going to be a mess at launch. I can’t speak for others but Fallout 4 was absolutely great for me.
Sure, there was that weird bug at the entrance of Diamond City where fps went to 1 for barely a second, but I really had nothing game breaking. 76" I didn’t touch at launch, no idea about that.
It would be lovely when the game comes out and we find out that what Matt Booty said is true. Proving all these naysayers wrong. Looking at comments in general about “Bugthesda” I must been one of the extremely fortunate ones then, since all their games have mostly been fine for me.

Cleansed fear before treasure opens.
This is the most excited iv been about a game since probably Death Stranding, I can’t wait
and as a console player, even though I know a lot of the amazing mods will be PC only, Im so excited to see what modders are able to do with the game, it’s gonna be something else
I recommend not looking for so many people’s opinions or expectations for something unreleased. It’s not healthy, and I don’t just mean the negative and concerned expectations, it’s also healthy to not look at the other end with overhyped posts and videos that inflate your expectations beyond anything else that is officially shown and acknowledged.
I think people need to relax when it comes to bugs in massive RPGs. At the moment, there are some gamebreaking bugs in BG3 when you get deeper in the game. Like my cousin had to go back a couple of saves a couple of times to fix the bugs. I think people need to accept RPGs will always have bugs at launch due to how massive they are in scope. I feel as long as there aren’t too many gamebreaking bugs then they should be fine.
That sounds like something from a sex scene in the Spartacus TV series…
The game as I understand had overall around 2 years worth of delays between internal & announced, it wouldn’t be at all unusual that there could’ve been a “shippable” version that was in a rough shape and that’s why decided on a delay. I mean from other stories we read, even perfectly good games at launch can a lot of the time be in a rough shape 3-6 months before launch.
Aren’t those just jealous PS fans who can’t take it that XBox is going to have a massive game and looking for any little think they can to knock Star.
Its beyond pathetic

Short reminder, this ‘rumor’ with Starfield being in bad shape started with “So MS lost tons and tons of money on Azure this fiscal year”.
Really?
This was the dumbest thing ever.
Isn’t that an old rumor that’d be kinda meaningless at this point?
An old rumor that was already stupid when it came out nevermind now
We learned via ABK trial that Starfield initially was supposed to drop much sooner, way before Bethesda was even at Xbox. In 2021 (or was it 2020)sone sources said Starfield was releasing that year, quickly correct by Jason Schreier, that he heard from people on the team no way it was coming out because that would be a Cyberpunk launch. But that was about then announced 11-11-22 release date. It’s perfectly plausible that at that point the game was in rough shape.
But we also had rumors last year or even early this year that said Redfall was mid, Starfield in rough shape. I’m just glad as hell that we are finally near release, no more such nonsense.
The Early access period could boost the regular release date players numbers even more. If word of mouth and footage from early access period of the game are great. It will help with gamers still on the edge about buying day 1 of release date on Xbox and Steam.
Might be a BG3 type of situation, where word of mouth of how good it is made the players numbers higher in the 2nd week than it release date.
Starfield is climbing up the Steam charts. Right now its #3 top seller in Canada, and #6 Global top seller. This game is going to move a lot of units even with gamepass. I wonder how many total players they’ll announce opening week. I think Microsoft/Bethesda will announce that
There must be London busses driving around with the picture on the back and side, it’s the only way this is possible
I give it a .000000000000000000000000000000000001% chance it’s delayed
