Starfield |OT| You're Finally Awake... In Space!

By people you mean Ponys? lol

BG3 is Isometic turn-based combat. I have a hard time seeing them actually play BG3 fully. Square had to dumb down mainline FF games to no longr have turn-based combat and with FF16, its not even an real RPG anymore.

They are capping for BG3 just cause Starfield is not on their system. There is no way these Pony clowns will even play BG3. BG3 is not a 3rd person, over the shoulder cinematic style action game lol.

You can see right through their fake cap.

I was just thinking , does anyone know if they will have mod support right at launch? If they do i can see someone releasing a 40 fps patch so on 120 hz vrr tvs it runs fine

There will be mods for PC at launch even without the proper mod tools Bethesda provide but xbox stuff i’m not sure

I doubt those things will be supported until it’s actually a feature added to the console like Skyrim and Fallout 4 but they’ve barely talked about mods at all so far so who knows

I know to assume that won’t be the case. Official mod tools took months after launch to come out in previous games.

Todd mentioned them couple times and basically just said it’s their best game for modding, no more details

Fallout 4 didn’t have the 60fps mod on Xbox before they enhanced the game with fps boost?

No it was there before and even ran on X1X I believe

I’m aware, I’m talking about actual fleshed out information about them

Yes but that was after FO4 officially supported modding on xbox, we don’t know if that’s going to be a thing at Starfields launch

This game is meant to last years. If mods aren’t on Xbox for a few months that’s fine. People will still be playing the main game anyway.

People who use BG3 as console war ammo don’t even play Larian games.

Ah, got ya.

Yeah, that’s a good point.

If I recall correctly Skyrim got mod support with the special edition, didn’t it? And then after that Fallout 4 got it too.

It would be very welcome if mod support is there day one. Personally I’m not gonna mess with any mods for my real playthrough, it’s gonna be all vanilla.

Posting for interest’s sake. The problems that localisation for Korea is having. An issue for translation, rather than an issue with the game. (Korean, but can be watched with auto-translated closed captions)

Not well. It ran like crap. Series x version is great though

Some very nice improvements have been made.

Yeah, the better and more realistic materials blend well with the NASA punk aesthetic.

Iirc Bethesda already used a PBR pipeline in Fallout 4 but I don’t think the results there where impressive. It looks way more natural in Starfield.

It’s definitely improved but I think out of everything else it’s the least improved visual aspect. I think others like Cyberpunk have already set a better standard of that so I hoped it would’ve been better but it’s not the biggest deal it’s still in the “good enough” range, I hope they do adopt something better in TES6 though.

Fallout 4 can look very nice at times but yeah it came at a time where they adopted new techniques but not competently realized, honestly I still prefer how Skyrim looks, it’s a timeless look. Thankfully Starfield appears to use its rendering techniques so much more efficiently and to high levels of competence where most of them blend nicely to the overall look. I disagree with DF when they said it’s the first attractive BGS game, I think Skyrim looks gorgeous as I said, but I get what they mean is more technically-oriented.

Bethesda’s incredible art direction and environments have always overcome their crappy faces and other shortcomings, even today Skyrim’s environments can look beautiful, that’s the power of top tier art direction

Starfield is a huge improvement from past games but as you said, it’s still definitely the weakest aspect of the game from a graphical level but once again, the environments and art design make it look absolutely incredible

I’ll take art direction over anything else anytime. Elden Ring proved to be the case as well.

Are you guys hoping Todd and team has put some very cool creepy crawlers in the game?

BGS likes their bugs (no pun intended), and big at that too. The huge ass spiders in Skyrim, and the centipede like freaks in caves, Chaurus Chitins. Can’t forget about the insane sized mosquitos called Bloodbugs in Fallout. Imagine mosquitos truly being that big, although I’m sure Australians wouldn’t be shocked, lol.

But the concept art and some of the footage showed some cool big insects, can’t wait to encounter them and slaughter the shit out of em. :stuck_out_tongue:

The shorts on Bethesda’s channel are starting to show up a little more often, it’s the second one I’ve seen so far on YouTube.
