Starfield |OT| You're Finally Awake... In Space!

I’m hoping this is the start of a ramping up of marketing.

The art style in these are nice. I wonder if the people who made the Vault Boy animations in the Fallout games made these.

Has to be, I’d be surprised if it’s not.

Do you plan to watch some space movies such as Moon, Sunshine, Interstellar before Starfield comes out? To get in the mood for it? I think I will. Might actually finally start with Lost in Space and The Expanse.

I’m always in the mood for space :rocket: watched the Expanse earlier this year and it was so good, Starfield is probably taking inspiration from it too

The worrying about marketing never ends lol

That’s gonna be the one for me then, since it’s brand new for me too.

Speaking of which, the game is coming out tomorrow.

Until the game has released, I bet you won’t hear a soul here anymore. Well…maybe to share the amazing experiences they’ve encountered thus far.

My heart stopped for a moment reading the headline, whew

I hate that website. They have the worst click bait you can imagine and often post things on FB that have nothing to do with gaming.

People are really underestimating Bethesda and Starfield, they even use BG3 as console war ammo. Larian is a talented studio no doubt, but their games are niche while Bethesda’s is more mainstream. Fallout 76 doesn’t erase the fact that Bethesda Game Studios are devs who have released game of the year contenders since Morrowind, it’s sad people are downplaying the fact, especially these out of touch rpg purist.

There’s no need, BG3 will be on Xbox later and we’ll play it as well. It’s probably a blessing to many of us because we can focus on Starfield

People have really latched onto the idea of Baldur’s Gate III being a “Starfield killer” and are pushing it to a ridiculous level. Extremely transparent.

I don’t think it was intentional on their part but Larian is reaping the rewards of console warriors enlisting to promote their game. It’s an amazing coincidence how many Spider-Man fans who didn’t give the Divinity Original Sin series a second look are suddenly all-in for Baldur’s Gate.

Sad how the game only started getting that much attention through console war. I could swear by everything most of the people championing it don’t even play CRPGs

I’m sure it will be a great game and amazing for those that love the genre but it’s still a top down, turn based crpg

Either a lot of people aren’t being genuine or there’s gonna be a lot of disappointed people when they realise what the game actually is

I enjoyed Divinity 2, but haven’t been following along with Baldur’s Gate, as the IP holds zero interest for me.

So just saw one of the new animated featurettes for Starfield as an ad on Youtube.

It’s based on DnD, you can get into it just fine without prior knowledge don’t be intimidated by the number 3.

I have very little interest in DnD unfortunately, so that’s a point against it not for.
