Wow, that part I didn’t remember from the deep dive. Very cool.
The worst that could happen to Starfield is that it could run like Elden Ring
I only played technical test but with VRR it was pretty damn good. But that was performance mode, you mean quality mode?
Both
While watching Lightyear just now I almost constantly had this game in my thoughts, how can I not? Great stuff. It got me wondering about things that could be in the game that they just didn’t show yet.
Such as, will there be vehicles like trucks or buggies to roam the planets in? They never had this in Fallout, nor was it needed but could be really cool here. And also enemies. We’ve seen space pirates and creatures, the big bugs from the start of the deep dive surprisingly didn’t seem like family of Mirelurks, as in they didn’t want your blood, lol. Hoping there are gonna be some cool robots as enemies too, always loved the Fallout 3 and 4 robots, they weren’t kidding around either, some of them.
I think they have shown very little of what the game has to offer in terms of the above things, on purpose.
Well I think we are far from having seen everything. There seem to be ground vehicles as well.
Vasco seems to have ice picks, a winch to pull objects, he seems to be able to carry equipment… I think Bethesda did not want us to be able to move with the ship because they want to make the planets dangerous and realistic exploration (much like Death Stranding does where we can walk around for hours just enjoying the vibe, having that feeling of exploration and discovering a cave, or random/procedural events ) I think Starfield has still a lot of secrets. I would also like to know if we can stop in space and hover to move freely in the ship and even go out to explore an asteroid or a comet or enter stations is something interesting.Very good point, I forgot some of the released artworks showed this. I kinda just want to not watch any more future trailers or even possibly a second deep dive, keep it all a mystery for myself to uncover. With this setting the possibilities are endless and BGS seems the perfect one to do it.
Very interesting screenshot. Can we roam around in our spaceship while the ship itself is flying? Autopilot?
Oh you mean like to be able to stop/park our ship in space and have it mildly orbit the planet/moon while we walk freely inside and maybe sleep and do some management stuff. I would love that.
Would be sick. But I wonder how that would work with the dangers of space pirates there, too.
We don’t know yet but I’d love to.
Imo the game should make the pirates easily avoided if not only limited to quests and such, or just to exist around certain systems and planets. I wouldn’t like for the flying experience to be interrupted by pirates. Something I didn’t like in AC Odyssey that I loved the naval mechanics but it was interrupted with pirate ships more often than I liked.
Could have a crew member alert you to their presence and you have to return to take over control.
I kinda imagine this kind of stuff will happen because it seems like a no brainer for space based scripted events.
Might be upgrades you can have for your ship that make it easy to avoid enemies/stealth
Some people calling this game “ugly”, madness
Even ignoring the sheer scope of the game, it looks beautiful but there’s nothing on the market that looks this good that has the scale of what this does

I was about to call you crazy but that does look like a horse
