Pixel Remaster would be a start.
I’m fine with FF9, KH4, Pixel Collection and Live A Live.
Like @saintsflow20 said about FF7R. It’s like a indirect marketing tool for Sony and I really don’t care for FF16.
Wasn’t that PSP remake pretty much that as well seeing as it has a full FF7R trailer attached to it?
As much as that is a negative, I think it’d still ultimately be a pretty good move for everyone involved. Should also be pretty cheap at this point.
Crisis Core is not really connected to FF7R. More to the PS1 FF7.
Has Sony check ran out? If not, it won’t happen.
Now I have hope we do get the complete FF7R down the road and for a big remake of Final Fantasy 8 launching on Xbox!
Cool I guess. Let me see the receipts down the line.
Will FFIX remake release on Xbox? To name an example.
That’s sort of a tricky point, given the remake seems to rely on Crisis core’s story even if it was designed as an addition to the original story.
I think Square just simply brought that game to Xbox. Not Xbox chasing it. They’re not gonna say no if Square just brings it.
SE have been taking some PR hits with FF7R and FF16 exclusivity deals and to be fair MS has been taking some flack for not doing more also. With that in mind, this makes sense even if ends up being all talk.
Too late, even if I was interested in xiv I wouldn’t play it out of spite at this point.
There’s some undertone salt in that other board and you can really sense it. I don’t get what’s wrong for more players to play.
Because you’re not looking at it from the view of a toxic fanboy
It’s an MMO. You need 100-1000 hours and need to play daily is the real problem.
Its good For MMO lovers, but for us gamers don’t don’t really care much for MMO. It does nothing.
Well I still think SE sucks but at least todays announcment is one less thing for people to complain about.
Know that its mentioned, how long did the NFT CEO last during his tenor of Square Enix? Just curious. Cause it kinda felt like it was not that long for some reason. If its correct, i would be so “shocked”(Sarcasm) by the info.
Let’s be honest, if we’re gonna talk about SE and salt that is a discussion that goes both ways. There is plenty of valid criticisms to be made of Square Enix and it is completely reasonable for XVI just not to be to some peoples taste - but if people here came across such concentrated negativity for an Xbox exclusive as has occured here for XVI - they’d have some pretty unkind words to share about the motives behind that.
I have to admit, I’m reconsidering my stance on S-E games. Bluntly speaking, I was very frustrated with the way Xbox-first/only gamers were being treated by them. I had explicitly double dipped on a bunch of their games and felt like it was a waste. I wasn’t exactly going for a boycott but figured it would take a lot to make me change my mind.
A change in leadership and a public promise says a lot though. I didn’t think we’d get here.
