No way they end the Norse arc with only 2 games plus I dont se Ragnarok coming out next year
If they made GOW Ragnarok a DLCequel, the backlash would be insane. It’s one thing if it’s a spinoff like Miles or Lost Legacy. It’s another entirely when billed as the continuation of the main story.
They already raised the bar. Even if they don’t announce a blimp at the TGAs they already had, by far, the most impactful year in the gaming history with the sheer amount of games they announced, the Bethesda purchase and EA play into gamepass.

No first-party launch titles, no gameplay. I’m not quite satiated. Only promises of an albeit great looking future.
There was a first party launch game and also there was a year packed with 15 1st party releases (all day one on gamepass) and over 60 games released in total day one on gamepass as well.
Of that many are already enhanced on SX, or was made in a way that SX improved the experience without the need of a patch.
So, is it really them that are under delivering, or is it you that are ignoring everything they did because it doesn’t fit the narrative that they didn’t hold all that to meet an arbitrary launch date?

There was Gears Tactics which I very much enjoyed. That was a PC release earlier in the year and far from the promised Halo Infinite.Yes, there are many enhanced games. I recently just went back and played We Happy Few. That was nice. Yes, it is Xbox underdelivering. No, I’m not ignoring what they’ve done. I’m very bullish on their future. A launch date is not arbitrary when consumers are forking over hundreds of dollars. I have no narrative.
As I said in my original post, I can only speak for myself. I very politely and reasonably explained some of the reasons as to why the optics around Xbox aren’t as good as they could be, and suggested an announcement would be nice. I even prefaced it with explaining how well Xbox is doing, how great Game Pass is and how much I’m enjoying my Xbox. That apparently is not enough for some of you weirdos on zealotry level of fandom.
The bar hasn’t been raised because there’s no games. The bar will be raised when there are games. It’s very simple. I like Xbox, it’s my preferred platform, I love what they’re doing and working towards, I’m excited for the future—but the now is mediocre. That’s subjective, but I’ve provided contextual evidence as to why there may be some objectivity to it, too. You don’t have to agree with me, but you and that dork above don’t need to make it personal as if I have an agenda or that I should just go buy a PlayStation.

Nothing Sony can do can top or even match the zenimax acquisition. Both systems will have there high points, but the fact is xbox has more then double the devs as sony, eventually it will seem like sony are lagging behind on the games front because they cant compete with the amount of output XGS will be producing.
So what’s the big deal then? are you getting upset for the sake of being upset about something, I don’t understand if you are enjoying your Xbox why isn’t that enough. It just seems like nothing Xbox does would please you fully. It seems like you’re getting upset over other people’s complaints seeing as you said so yourself you’re enjoying your Xbox so I really don’t get it.

As a wannabe content creator, more news is great because there’s more things to talk about. But for the last few weeks, I’ve actually had a great time just playing video games again.
Having said that, there’ll definitely be something at the VGAs for y’all.

I would relax and stop calling folks weirdos and dorks . I think people take chargin with continued fixation on “losing power narratives” and “optics are bad” , things that clearly go beyond just how one personally feels or “i just want an announcement”. same with talking about “having standards”.

if you just wanted to say an announcement would be nice you could have skipped a whole bullet point section on narratives and optics, i’m just saying . I don’t know man , this forum as far as i am aware was created cause there wasn’t a place where folks can talk xbox without the usual ad nausuem repeated statements made constantly . and just observing it the last month the main thread here has been no different than the past 3 years of xbox takes i’ve seen , concern trolling , and the same conversations and fixation on the next acquisition that will change things for xbox . No, folks shouldn’t tell people to just go get a playstation , but i’m taking it folks are worn out from the same rhetoric and your acting like you didn’t say anything folks could have issue with or be tired of , and worse yet that you didn’t immediately resort to unnecessary retorts like that you “have standards” what unlike the rest of us ?

Okay.
We all need to bear in mind the language we use when we talk to each other. We don’t need to be calling each other names for example. It’s literally the most unnecessary thing. This is a big toy we’re talking about.
Equally, folks in general on this board are wary of “concern” posts about Xbox. It’s part of the reason XboxEra exists, and it’s to get away from the kind of constant negativity found elsewhere.
@anon80661078 I don’t believe you’re posting in bad faith, but I wouldn’t say you’re being dogpiled because of your views/words/opinion. Challenged, certainly.
I like news too. I want more, because I’m greedy. I understand that mentality. But the whole narrative “xbox doomed” just wears thin around here. Bear that in mind.

and i’m saying next time you can just say an announcement would be good lol if that’s as you said later , all you wanted to say . it doesn’t always have to be a powerpoint on why xbox needs to turn it all around , i think folks get that halo has been delayed and it’s made the launch line up weaker . Yes folks can get defensive here , but no one called you a weirdo , dork , or implied up until you started doing this that you weren’t an adult or that there was something wrong with you . i don’t see how this is hard to understand

Xbox will probably announce a game at TGAs if not then people can moan about them for not showing stuff.
