where’s the gameplay is a question i still have. in that segment you probably use the controller 3 times when throwing the spear
Ellie fanboys and fangirls as well as the Abby hate fest probably makes it hard to express that opinion easily.
nope . I have the same opinion .
It took me 26 hours to finish that game . I was mentally done with it after 16 hours . ngl I dont think I can play another TLOU game for a while . It was mentally very taxing for me .
Definitely a factor yeah, but I think generally the way Abby was introduced brought in a certain level of disdain for the rest of the experience from the get go. But yeah I’ll have a more informed opinion myself once I play it.
nice.
Naughty Dog should just forget all of their previous IP and just make a new one in the coming years. Been hearing about how it could be sci-fi space related (based on some easter eggs in TLOU games), and I’m all for it, especially with ND’s storytelling and direction and industry-leading fidelity.
I think they can’t show much else yet but at the same time really wanted to show the future of Xbox, what the visuals are going to look like for a Xbox exclusive. I see no reason to believe they are going to change up everything about the game compared to the first one and make it worse, dumbing gameplay down basically.
Tameem did say the combat was “extra real and brutal” which these weak ass spear throws barely account for lmao so I’m hoping we see what he meant this E3.
From the trailer I felt that some of the game play on display was qte, which are never really fast paced, and unless they are going for an over exaggerated fighting style the game play for Hellblade 2 is likely to be closer to DS1 or DS2 than say bloodborne, ds3 or Sekiro.
imo absolutely nothing about the combat I expect to be remotely anything fromsoft. I’d expect a more grounded DMC style combat system.
Not talking about the game animation or world, more about the speed of the combat which From has ramped up since DS2, which I think was there slowest game combat wise.
Ahh got it. But still, you expect it to be more slower-paced greatsword feel tanky melee combat? I think it’ll be fairly fast paced tbh. Not Sekiro or BB level pace for sure
My take is that they didn’t actually get to flesh out the combat yet.
oh i know, was just saying what they’ve shown has very little info to make any conclusive judgements on.
I suppose it will depend on what they ho with as greats word combat can be pretty fast, but often it’s depicted as being slower to make it look and feel weighty.
yeah which is why I’m expecting a wider arsenal of weapons this time around.
Nothing too crazy RPG level tho, just enough to have variety of playstyles. Even two to three weapons would be better than just a greatsword start to end. Expecting Spears already now having seen the demo.
Yup!
DmC ( again, can’t stand the game but best combat Ninja Theory has ever come up with) and Bleeding Edge.
Yeah there were parts of TLOU 2 that felt like the game was purposely trying to waste my time. The pacing was way off. Which is a shame because I dug the actual gameplay loop far more than the original
man I really want the raw file of the demo trailer without the trash compression of Youtube
If it ends up having a good combat system this time around then I agree that it would be great even if the game will take control from the player in certain times, if it ends up like GoW 2018 and plays that good then I’ll be more than fine. Rahni is really talented so hopefully NT will nail the combat (among other things that could get better like puzzles, traversal e.t.c.).
Also I wouldn’t mind a more focused experience and shorter length to be honest, I’d prefer a greatly paced 10-12 quality game instead of a bloated 30hr game.
agreed
