Come on lol. Starfield is much more popular than Redfall purely based off the developer making the game. Remember Sony had Deathloop trailers and state of plays every week because they wanted to make the game popular? I can’t imagine what kind of disaster having no marketing would do lol.
Arkane games have never been mainstream tbh which is why they need their own event to shine.

Redfall will be exponentially more popular than Deathloop even if it has 1/20 the marketing because of the type of game it is in comparison.
the point i’m making is that they are both untested ips and we can’t base anything off name alone. and you’re not gonna make any arkane game “mainstream” just because you don’t release next to some other game.
don’t even see the point of this discussion since ms and bethesda agree with me, hence the planned release dates.
Except with Forza Horizon we knew what to expect, but we know nothing about Redfall. We know more about Starfield than Redfall for example, simply because BGS uses their traditional formula there. Same with Avowed (most of the people want to see graphics though). With Redfall? Nothing.
We will find out everything at MS’s June gameshow three months from now.
Maybe. The point is that not surprising that people want to know more in comparison to other games that we can infer what they are gonna look like. Especially when people see something like Deathloop (though with Ghostwire marketing was on a lower level than for Deathloop)

I watched it rolling out of bed today. Was that third-person gameplay? It straight up looked like The Division. If they let us choose perspectives I’m hyped.
Ya I thought they went to a new game in the video. I assumed it was the division for a bit as well

I’m still waiting for proper gameplay before judging anything though. I want it to be a great (not just playable) singleplayer experience.

Deathloop flopped hard due to the shitty PS5 exclusivity. Yes it was critically acclaimed but game sold poorly,

I doubt deathloop flopped, but i think all parties involved probably regret the exclusivity somewhat. Deathloop is next gen only right? Given the size of the current console base I’d wager with gamepass maybe it would get a mil or so players on xbox.
That was the Division, the streamers played multiple games.
The Redfall part was just they looking at the scenery, shooting the one vampire that became ash and looting it.
The streamer did say the game notified him they would start testing 3rd person view (and the video itself is quite old, from september), so there’s a chance the final game has it
