Quick Resume compatible games thread

Spyro Reignited Trilogy works perfectly with QR

Nier Replicant doesn’t seem to be working with QR for me. Anyone else having this experience?

We REALLY need better transparency for Microsoft on this stuff - if QR compatibility is going to continue to be an issue throughout this generation, we deserve to know that.

Okami HD seems to not work with it, which is a bummer since I didn’t check first and lost about an hour of playtime.

I messed around with this feature and it was cool but when it wiped out 2 hours of my immortal save progress I never used it again. It’s a neat feature. Just not one I really want to use.

How did it do that?

How do you stop using it? You mean force closing the game every time? (But wouldn’t that have the same effect as QR not working anyway?)

QR shouldn’t be used as a substitute for saving the game. Even when it’s working 100% as intended, there’s no guarantee that a particular game will stay in memory.

I’m on the Series S and QR hasn’t been working at all to me the past month or more.Back on November untill like mid-March iirc it was working as intended and I could even resume games on my external HDd.

I was hoping for the system update that arrived today to fix it, and it doesn’t but atleast now I can see if the games are being added to the QR group or not… Almost every game I tried to execute don’t even appear on the group. A few games had worked(Vampyr, AC3 remastered are the only ones that I tried today that did work), but when I resume them it just freezes the game imediatly and I have to close game. Worth to mention, my external drive isn’t even plugged and all the games I’ve been trying are on internal ssd.

It wouldn’t save after. Just had thst saving icon on infinite loop and wouldn’t save.

I force quit all games. With how loading is and startup it takes very little time.

I assume you’ve filed these issues via the Insider program? Or you’re contacting support somehow?

Hate to see you having these issues. Have you tried powercycling the console? Maybe doing a full reset?

I have a buddy who has a Series S and whenever he has an issue, he just complains to me. When I try to offer ways of him contacting Xbox support, he just complains more and says he shouldn’t have to file support tickets. My reply to that is “if they don’t know of the problem, how can they fix it?”

Thanks for the reply. I did the power reset and will try to reset configs after work. If it doesn’t work, then I’ll contact support for sure. I was waiting for the system update regarding quick resume to arrive this week and after that I didn’t had much time with my console to try and resolve this.

You know, wasn’t worried about it before 'cause I knew this update was coming and wasn’t even using QR as much, but is such a amazing feature! Love to get it back working

It’s not a flawless system, but I expect it will get better as we get into the generation more and more. I assume COVID-19/WFH has slowed down work on OS stability, just like it has slowed down game development and many other areas of life.

There’s certain games QR doesn’t work with at all, and I wish we would get better messaging about that. For example, the recently released Nier Replicant doesn’t support QR. I’m hoping the newly released Mass Effect Trilogy will support QR!

Some Quick Resume games have no audio, for me. I have to force quit the game and start it again to get audio.

Quick Resume is still so buggy.

Which games are those?

It was Warzone and Black OPs.

Ah, I don’t have it so I can’t try it and see how it is for me.

Neither Dragon Quest Builders 2 or Mass Effect Remastered seem to be compatible at all for some reason.

Very annoying.

Yeah I don’t understand why some new releases don’t get quick Resume. I love this feature but I feel like only half of the games support it

Also now, no audio in Tetris effect. Force quit fixes it.
