Ya know I have to say…I actually respect PlayStation for not trying to hide who they are and what they do, at least I know up front what I’m getting.

It just feels like MS wants to try and do it all…compete and buy studios and publishers, make this exclusive but not this, be the good guy…

At least Sony is transparent in how they operate…I 100% believe they would’ve made all things Destiny exclusive in a second if it wouldn’t have been a deal breaker with Bungie.

I am curious what this means for Blizzards new IP, revivals of old IP, Crash and Spyro, ports of WoW to console, any Warcraft and Starcraft games on console since that series holds no legacy outside of PC, etc. They have more to gain with making that stuff exclusive whereas the cost and regulatory worries may be too high for CoD and they already have enough FPS games.

My worry here is this creates animosity within XGS Bethesda that Mojang and part of ABK get special privileges.

I also think they are missing out on leveraging this stuff to stop the moneyhats but idk. Could easily be solely a regulatory play here.

What happened with Psychonauts 2 is that they delivered what they promised which was a PS4 version. Xbox funded 2 years of the game and got a native next gen version as a result.

They have enough exclusives right now. They have a list of 70 something games being made either full exclusives or timed. Xbox is more than fine with what they have right now, but at one point, you want to make sure these investments bare fruits.

COD, Overwatch and Diablo are worldwide IPs that worth billions each. It’s not in the same ballpark as even DOOM, The Elder Scrolls or Fallout (even though these franchises are massive in some markets), sorry.

Activision-Blizzard IPs have worldwide appeal.
