to me it just that the game isn’t (visually) ready to ship in september. similar case with Halo Infinite. i thought a while back that releasing a spiderman sequel in 2 years (while developing back to back on wolverine) after ratchet and mm was a hard task to accompilish unless dev sacrifice the graphical stuff.

Some great multi platform games there. Very excited for Dragons Dogma 2 and MGS3. Hopefully the MGS Collection will come to Xbox as well. I assume it will, all the other Konami collections have.
So I want to ask as I was busy playing Divinity original sin 2 again, when is Spiderman 2 launching this year?
Watching it now. First problem. Opening with a new IP that has no gameplay. Compare to their last show, it started strong with KOTOR Remake being a reality and it will be timed exclusive. Sure, hindsight is 20/20 but immediately, you’re sucked in to the show. Here, I have no idea what to make of it aside from GaaS and not what I thought of Haven to be working on.

I want to see reactions on Foamstars. The way how it opened almost made it seem like Square was back on doing something urban and perhaps grounded.

I was expecting something so different from Haven. My first impression is not good.
Surprised how many CGI trailers there were.
Spiderman 2 looked okay. The action looks terrific, but the graphics were a mixed bag. And what was up with the braindead AI?
Still looking forward to FFXVI
I have a feeling there will be an announcement or two for SGF, but that could just be me trying to reason how absent Playstation first party was in this showcase.

Part of me believe MGS3R wasn’t the opener because Sony was probably salty that they couldn’t score it exclusive.

Is “Fairgame” the Jade Raymond project? Is that the actual title of the game or a project codename?
So likely to try to launch close to Starfield, or even get delayed to 2024.

I do see a lot of “Sony first party didn’t show up!” but truth is there was actually 5 Sony first party things on top of Spiderman 2

Looks like it will take some time for the games that don’t fit “banger” category to register as first party. If (really, when) Fairgame$ flops it will be funny to see people pretending it is not a first party game and talk about it in a way that Sony is distanced. Also doesn’t help the Bungie stuff is truly multiplat and not just also on PC.

This was a bad showcase, but lets be honest this isn’t going to change anything. Sony’s studios are working on something and those games will eventually come out. Similarly MS studios are working on games and they too will eventually come out even if they aren’t at the Xbox showcase.
Good games, bad games, delays, whatever just play the games that come out on your system. There are more games than anyone could ever play and if you are someone that plays enough to go through everything one system has to offer there is no reason you can’t buy the other platform(s).

Agree 100%. Nothing better than owning an Xbox Series X and a PlayStation 5.
I am kinda sensing some BS from this Phantom Blade game. Unless the game is constantly taking control away from the player to try and make things look cool.
